The Overpaid CEO tax doesn't tax overpaid CEOs, and all it does is pass higher gross receipts taxes on to consumers AND it will result in way lower revenue for the city, same as the CA asset seizure tax by SEIU. Bad anti-business policy that makes our cities and states poorer.

SF's "CEO tax" raises taxes ~800% on Safeway, Walgreens, and Starbucks while Google, Meta, and Amazon pay zero. "Taxing the rich" really means taxing grocery stores. garryslist.org/posts/sf-s-ove…

Minnesota Democrats have spent YEARS rigging the system to keep power no matter who wins. They are now trying to install @KendallQuallsMN as the next Governor of Minnesota, a weak Republican who will never actually challenge Tim Walz or Amy Klobuchar. The state convention on May 29 is the last real chance to stop them from handing the Governor’s mansion back to the same corrupt Democrats machine. May 29th it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take Minnesota back to the Republicans. We can NOT hand Minnesota back to Walz and Klobuchar again.

There is no substitute for bestie @DavidSacks … showed up black-shirted, caffeinated, & fully armed with enough crazy. Besties talked future of enterprise, AI agents that actually work (not just hype), and @chamath has enough truth China bombs to trigger all the Besties. Zero filter. Brilliant El Niño insight from @friedberg. I wasn’t ready for @Jason and neither was the group chat. Buckle up. This one’s XX spicy. 🌶️ 🚀 Check out the full episode here → youtu.be/jJRAvZNGUvI

Zero Police shouldn't have to put themselves in harm's way just to deal with the endless antics of those who resist lawful arrest Disobeying orders and acting like this used to be grounds for the deployment of deadly force, as was running from the cops. Idiotic court rulings changed that, but those should be tossed out and replaced with sanity that reflects the essentially third world nature of America at present

I will post however the fuck many times a day I want, but I do like incentivizing people not to. Most grifters on here should shut the fuck up anyway I’m perfectly fine with telling them they’ll make more money if they only post 2x a day 🤣 I don’t give a shit about any of these algorithm hacks. If that ruins my “rankings”, who cares? 🤷🏻‍♂️ I don’t do this for money, I do it for the love of the game..
Ronin@DeRonin_

BREAKING: X dropped the new ranking algo today. What's dead and what wins for bangers: [ what just died ]: - spam posting (4+ posts/day = author dilution penalty) - reply farming (replies weighted by WHO replies, not how many) - text-only posts (media gets 2x signal weight now) - recycled viral templates (the new content classifier flags them) - generic AI tool roundups (no original POV = low signal) - engagement bait closers ("what do you think?" gets flagged) - motivational fluff without specifics - engagement pods (mutual-follow scores reweighted) [ what just won ]: - original takes from small accounts (out-of-network discovery 3x'd) - threads with clear narrative arcs (model reads full thread context now) - text + media combos (out-performs either alone) - contrarian takes with personal proof (numbers, screenshots, names) - long-form posts (the 4000-char format gets heavier signal weight) - responding to your own replies in the first 30 min (ranking gold) - consistent posting cadence (regularity > volume) [ formats that work right now ]: - tactical playbooks: hook + 5-8 numbered steps + closer - personal proof posts: "$X → $Y in Z weeks" + breakdown - contrarian takes backed by screenshot proof - threads with arc structure: setup → friction → resolution - image carousels (3-7 slides), one bold claim per slide - short videos (under 90s) showing real work, not promo - long-form (4000-char) breakdowns of trending topics [ tone of voice that wins ]: - first-person specific ("I built X / I shipped Y") over abstract observation - concrete numbers and names over vague claims - builder energy over motivational fluff - one strong opinion per post, not three hedged ones - "here's what I shipped" over "here's what's possible" - direct address to the reader ("you") over generic third person [ the play starting today ]: 1. cut your posting to 2 a day max 2. always pair text with image, video, or thread 3. reply to every comment in the first 30 min 4. write in first-person specific, not third-person abstract 5. one bold opinion per post, backed by proof 6. let out-of-network discovery do the heavy lifting screenshot this. algorithm cycles repeat every 6 months

@erikfinman Because they're being sold as if they are. My timeline is full of it. We are a good 10 years from them being mainstream home ready. For now they are a novelty and something fun to mess and experiment with for those with money. I will be the first contractor in my area with them.

Well done to the free speech union for this. Who's ready to see this fight? 👏🏻
The Free Speech Union@SpeechUnion

We have taken up the case of @ezralevant, a Gold member of the @SpeechUnion who has been refused entry to the UK to attend the ‘Unite the Kingdom’ rally tomorrow. After his ESTA was refused, he paid £1,000 to the Home Office to expedite a visa application because his flight is tonight. To date, the Home Office still hasn't responded. We hope our intervention will prompt it to issue a visa in time for him to catch his flight. Refusing Mr Levant a visa would be a clear breach of his rights. He's not a “far right agitator intent on coming to the UK to spew [his] extremist views”, which is how Sir Keir Starmer's described those who've been blocked from entering the UK for tomorrow’s protest. He is a Canadian commentator and journalist who has no criminal convictions and has never advocated violence, intimidation, discrimination or terrorism and rejects any assertion that he is ‘far-right’ or would make threats or spread hate. In reality, he simply holds views that the Prime Minister disagrees with. Perhaps it’s his outspoken support for Israel in its ongoing war with Hamas that has raised a red flag. Refusing Mr Levant a visa would be particularly egregious, given that Hasan Piker, the far left American political activist who has incited violence against Jews, has not been blocked from entering the UK. He's due to speak at at @unherd event on 5th June. Is it one rule for outspoken supporters of Israel, Prime Minister, and another for outspoken supporters of the Palestinian cause? Is that because you care more about not offending Britain's Muslims than you do about not offending British Jews? We very much hope that the Home Office will issue Mr Levant with a visa immediately and allow him to travel to the UK this evening.

Blue states are not lost. They are occupied by Democrat machines that count on Republicans being too demoralized to fight. Fewer than 160 votes kept Minnesota from another full Democrat monopoly under Tampon @Tim_Walz. That is the gap between a people getting steamrolled and a people getting leverage. With a tied House, @LisaDemuthMN and Republicans still forced wins: ended taxpayer funded healthcare for illegals, cut spending, cut property taxes, repealed the car tab tax hike, cracked down on the welfare fraud machine, and held the line on Walz’s gun bans. This is the lesson for MAGA. Stop writing off blue states. Make every Democrat machine pay full price for every single inch of power. Thank you @LisaDemuthMN and @HarryNiska. KEEP FIGHTING!!!
