My statement on President Trump's decision to strike Iran.

Iranian officials say a US-Israel strike on a girls' primary school in southern Iran killed and injured more than 150 students. Asked about the strike, a US Central Command spokesperson said "we are aware of reports concerning civilian harm resulting from ongoing military operations. We take these reports seriously and are looking into them. The protection of civilians is of utmost importance, and we will continue to take all precautions available to minimize the risk of unintended harm." Read more: cnn.it/4l11wAb

The Trump administration recently fired @alexisgoldstein from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau over an incident last year, when she confronted members of DOGE to prevent them from accessing sensitive agency information including personal information of U.S. residents. "I just asked them what their name was. They refused to give me their name," says Goldstein, who was put on administrative leave for a year and then fired last week. The CFPB, created by Congress in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, was gutted by Elon Musk and his so-called Department of Government Efficiency. Most of the agency's lawsuits against financial firms have since been dropped under the Trump administration. "Essentially, no one is watching the biggest banks," says Goldstein, who is running for Congress in Maryland to "fight against fascism in America."

This has to be one of the dumbest editorials the @washingtonpost has ever written

At a time when unacceptable levels of antisemitic incidents have become normalized in NYC, @NYCMayor Mamdani should have used his first day to show leadership by creating more safeguards to help protect Jewish New Yorkers, not by dismantling apolitical measures established by his predecessor and confirming our publicly expressed concerns. Removing protections is a dangerous move, especially on day one. Jewish New Yorkers deserve security, not a delete button. Despite the eloquent rhetoric, actions like this speak far, far louder than words.
