Phthalates are too toxic to be in toys, so why does the FDA let them contact our food? Thank you @SenMarkey for urging the FDA to reconsider our petition to ban these toxic chemicals. According to @BCPPartners, phthalates cause hormone issues that can cause breast cancer.

There is mounting evidence that exposure to phthalates is extremely harmful to humans, especially brain development in infants and children. @SenBooker and I urge @US_FDA to review this evidence and to use its authorities to ban phthalates from use in food and food packaging.
