@CatherineB36731 Severe thunderstorm warnings essentially have 3 levels (standard, comsiderable, and destructive). The only time the WEA (Wireless Emergency Alert) is activated for phone notifications for severe thunderstorm warnings is when the “destructive” tag is added to the warning.

I haven’t seen such damaging winds in the Philadelphia Metro since the Moderate/ENH Risk in August of 2023 or June of 2020. Going to examine for more damage soon for further tree damage and down power lines once the Severe Storm passes. @NWS_MountHolly #PAwx

Wow! A tornado just impacted near Santa Rita, Guam, in association with Typhoon #Bavi. There is a tornadic debris signature and very strong velocity couplet on radar. I have never seen a TDS on radar in the Guam area before!
