Let's be serious for a moment....
As awesome as it would be to have Dunne & Bate having serious competitive matches, sometimes as performers you have to break out of your comfort zone.
Daniel Garcia's best work was in the Jericho Appreciation Society. He had a character and was more entertaining than ever. He grew as a performer.
Daniel Bryan had some goofy gimmicks in WWE as well but it helped him grow on the mic. His promos afterwards were better when he got serious again and returned to being Bryan Danielson.
Bate & Dunne's current gimmicks aren't my favorite thing, but it is fun to see them do something different than the ultra serious "I'm the best in the world" gimmicks that everyone wants to run.

@SunnyTe__ Yep. Some people just needed clarification. At the end of the day, the schedules today are way healthier for wrestlers but it is still a huge time comittment.

@EasyMarks I think i should further explained that i agree that it’s no longer a grind like it once was. But apparently for the younger wrestlers? It’s a lot more demanding compared to AEW.I don’t disagree at all

The "wrestling" part of the grind doesn't exist any longer in WWE. AEW & WWE run very close when it comes to dates.
WWE does more house shows during the holidays, but much less than the Vince days.
The grind is the travel. People away from their families so much more. WWE has a lot of the top stars doing a lot more promotional work too than AEW.

@WrestlePurists AEW is deff a more relaxed company as far as being able to take time off whenever you want. Theres a lot of wrestlers that work for AEW that’ll do a couple of matches and chill at home. Wwe is a lot more demanding, it’s still the grind it always was
