He didn’t come to establish a magisterium. He came to tear the veil. That torn veil in Matthew 27:51 is one of the most theologically loaded moments in Scripture. The veil separated ordinary people from the Holy of Holies where only priests could enter and only through prescribed channels, only with institutional authority. Christ’s death ended that system permanently. The message is pretty clear and that message is that direct access to God is now available to every person. No mediating institution required. The Council of Nicaea was men voting. The Pope is a man. Tradition was compiled by men. Christ came to make all man equal before God. Through Him.

I'm seriously starting to doubt Penal Substitutionary Atonement. The responses to the objections against PSA have been weak and dismissal. However, I've advocated for PSA for so long, it's hard to change the way I articulate the gospel. This is a total paradigm shift for me.

Our Lord said: “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)   A Catholic conscience must never be silenced by political pressure or fear of accusation.   OUR POLITICAL IDOLATRY   Many Catholics today are experiencing turmoil because their identity has become too closely tied to a political party or movement. This is a dangerous mistake. No political party fully represents the truth of the Gospel. No administration is the Kingdom of God.   When we anchor ourselves to politics, we will eventually be shaken – because politics always shifts. But when we are anchored in Christ, we remain firm, even when the world trembles.   A WORD TO THE FAITHFUL   If you feel uncertain … If you feel pressured … If you feel accused or misunderstood …   Hear this clearly:   You are not on shaky ground if you stand with Christ.   You are only shaken if your foundation is elsewhere.   Return to Him. Remain in Him. Stand firmly in the truth of His Church.   FINAL EXHORTATION   This is not a time for fear. This is a time for clarity. We must reject hatred. We must reject false accusations. We must reject every attempt to force the Church into conformity with worldly ideologies.   And we must proclaim, without compromise:   JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.   Not Caesar. Not any party. Not any movement. Christ alone.   Therefore, stand firm in Him. Do not be shaken, do not be silenced, & do not be led astray. I’m a Christian first, not an American. My government tells me it’s okay to bomb elementary schools, starve Gaza, displace millions, and rape kids. Jesus Christ tells me it’s wrong.

Israel is wiping out the bridges of South Lebanon — one by one. Not for military necessity, but to isolate an entire population. To trap them. To starve them. To cut them off from hospitals, food, and aid. Call it what it is: A crime against humanity.

If we’re going to gatekeep in the conservative movement, the number one question that should be on the questionnaire is do you believe in the separation of church and state? Do you believe in the first amendment? If the answer to that question is no then you’re not a conservative. It’s really that simple all of this other stuff is meant to obfuscate from that one basic question. So at the end of the day that is the line for the gatekeeping, do you believe that everybody in this country should be free to worship according to their faith. If that becomes a radical idea on the conservative right, then we already lost.
