@ZeusRebirth That was the moment that showed Sly there was a difference between being a fighter and playing a fighter. I think he was getting those lines blurred.
Stallone reveals Dolph Lundgren hit him so hard filming Rocky IV that he ended up in the hospital for 9 days
Host: “Dolph Lundgren, you told him to hit you and you ended up in the hospital for 9 days.”
Stallone: “He almost killed me. Yeah. That was a freakish accident. It was just freakish.”
Stallone: “I did ask for it, but I didn't think he'd hit so hard, you know.”
Stallone: “I think I talk to my wife every day about it. Absolutely not worth it in the sense that you don't know when to quit. I should have stopped right before the first Expendables. That's what did me in. I was never whole from that point on.”
When The Shining opened in 1980, it had a different ending. Days later Kubrick sent people into the theaters to physically cut it out of the prints. Here's the scene almost nobody saw🧵👇🏻
BREAKING 🚨: oh my goodness -- Ted Lieu played Rubio a video of Trump sleeping while Rubio tried to talk to him during a cabinet meeting. Then this exchange happened:
RUBIO: I've never seen him fall asleep
LIEU: I'm gonna show you a video that shows you just lied to Congress
Viral video of British patriots who allegedly had a meal at a Chinese restaurant, finished it, then complained about the standard of the food because they didn’t want to pay.
Disgraceful behaviour.
As Measles cases hit a 35 year high, as a senseless war rages on with no exit plan, as gas climbs to record highs, and the Epstein files remain secret, the U.S. Senate is holding a hearing today to yell at Dr. Fauci and again push horse dewormer on the American public.
Dr. Anthony Fauci on Wednesday repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment and declined to answer dozens of questions from senators in a Republican-led committee hearing about his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. The scientist, who helped lead the nation’s COVID-19 response, was subpoenaed to testify under oath by Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky. Fauci declined to answer more than 100 times, injecting new drama into partisan divides that have festered for years about COVID-19's origins and handling of the pandemic.
@ChaosAgent_42@grok This is all theater to get MAGA back on board for the midterms. Fauci was an advisor and cant be charged for any advice he may have given.
Hey, @grok, strict facts, reputable sources only. Think hard to achieve minimum error. Discard "opinions" and stick to science. Concise answer.
Is Anthony Fauci guilty of anything?
James Woods says Christopher Nolan has earned a level of trust no other filmmaker has.
“He’s not just one of the great directors… he’s literally saving film.”
James Woods: “Nolan shoots only on IMAX film. Studios ask, ‘Can we read the script? Can we see the dailies?’ He tells them, ‘You’ll see the movie at the premiere.’”
When Nolan finished the film, he called James Woods with one request:
“Come to Universal at 9:30 in the morning.”
Woods showed up to an empty IMAX theatre and watched the finished movie almost completely alone.
“I was just sitting there in this massive theatre watching it.”
Very few directors have enough leverage to tell a studio, “You’ll see it when everyone else does.”
@heisdenji "It also means that if you are 100% Irish and you are from Boston, statistically, you are unlikely to be a fan of George III and Lord Cornwallis."
Yeah...people in other parts of the country just loved those guys! They have Cornwallispalooza out there in the Midwest!
Conan O’Brien reveals what happened when he took a DNA test
Tom: So Conan, you are from the Boston area. And you are, I think, 100% Irish in your ancestry?
Conan O’Brien: Yes. I had a genetic test several years ago, and the doctor gave me the result. He said, “You are… I don’t see this often. You are 100.00% Irish.”
I thought this was a good thing because, you know, in university, 100% was a good thing. I said, “Isn’t this great news?” And he said, “No, you idiot, it means that you’re inbred.”
Tom: It also means that if you are 100% Irish and you are from Boston, statistically, you are unlikely to be a fan of George III and Lord Cornwallis.
Conan O’Brien: My father loved history. He instilled in me a love of history, and every April we’d go out to Lexington and Concord, retracing the footsteps of the retreating British.
I grew up with all the mythos and pageantry and adoration for the Founding Fathers, and then, as you grow older, things get more complicated.
"It works" -- Ron Johnson is using his questioning time to tout hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin 🙃
(I guess we should've put lightbulbs up our assess too 🥴)
@FoxNews Hooray to the Republicans for staging yet another pointless political theater show that no one cares about and that was never going to accomplish anything.
Oh, by the way...have all the Epstein Files been released yet?
BREAKING: Dr. Anthony Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times and refused to answer lawmakers' questions during Wednesday's Senate hearing.
Senator Rand Paul, who has repeatedly accused Fauci of misleading the public about COVID-19's origins and the government's pandemic response, pointed to Fauci's newly released COVID-era diaries, arguing they conflict with his public statements during the pandemic.
Republicans have also argued former President Joe Biden's blanket pardon would not protect Fauci if he lied to Congress.
After hours of stonewalling, Paul announced the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee will vote next week on a resolution to hold Fauci in contempt of Congress, arguing the pardon means he cannot invoke the Fifth Amendment for matters covered by it.
@LucasSa56947288 The level of pure desperation and frustration is absolutely beautiful. Oh my, we've driven this poor man to use profanity in the halls of Congress! He must be so passionate!
This...is...more...pointless...theater.
It's a sound byte harvest.
Tuberville: "I'll be the governor of Alabama and I promise you we will find out if there's a possibility that we can bring him to Alabama to put him in front of a court and a jury to see if we can put this guy in prison. He killed millions of people, folks."
@Acyn He's so desperate. Trying SO hard to sound like he's making an impact.
The silence is hilariously awesome.
This is probably how he tries to pick up women.
Hawley: You wanted to be the sun god. You could sit for Instyle magazine, but you can't answer questions for the American people. You became a narcissist and a megalomaniac and a liar, and you've lied to the American people.
Hawley: You got over $1 million in cash awards. Now, you're worth more than $12 million. You've got a pension that in its first year paid out north of $400,000 a year. You're getting rich!
@ABC Must be so frustrating to have your little power play not produce the fiery sound bytes you'd hoped it would.
Oh well...on to next Benghazi hearing.
"Would you behave this way in a courtroom? No, because the judge would put you in jail. I can't do that today, but I can have you escorted from the premises."
Sen. Rand Paul removed a lawyer for Dr. Anthony Fauci from his Senate testimony on Wednesday.
Fauci repeatedly invoked his Fifth Amendment right, refraining from answering lawmakers' questions during testimony.
