The Civil Servant who inflicted the 67 year retirement age on the rest of us gets to retire at 61 on an £85K per year pension. If ever a massive saving could be found, reducing this lot by hundreds of thousands would be a good place to start.

“I hear messages from the Government saying they’re going to focus on the cost of living, but then they impose a holiday tax on British people travelling to other parts of the UK. That’s the bit that’s frustrating for me,” said the Butlin's CEO. Labour's proposed tax on overnight stays would be “disastrous” for households & businesses, & would effectively double the cost of a four-night stay for a family of four at Butlin’s in its cheapest room, he said.

The UK is increasing the Pension age to 68. Poland has lowered theirs to 60. Their pension is higher as well.
