Can somebody please explain what’s the incentive of staying pure and chaste if there is no difference between a formerly promiscuous person and someone who guarded their chastity? How can anybody live righteously if they use mercy and forgiveness as a get out of jail free card?

@Protestia Society doesn't have a problem with men using Christianity or traditionalism as a get out of jail for free card. Men generally accept their past sins makes them lesser. We do have that problem with women. Why are you browbeating men that use their God given pattern recognition.

There's a large segment of professing Christians who will nod their heads knowingly and even give a hearty 'amen' when a man shares his testimony and reveals he was a drug addict who was addicted to porn before he found Christ, and yet scowl, purse their lips, and cross their arms when a woman says the same thing.

I called out that Porn is still adultery and this guy need to call it Protestant Slop! Oh Brother I am going to tell you, you are in need of major prayer. Porn is not just essentially the sin of Lust, no it is the sin of Lust, you are committing adultery with your eyes and heart. As Christians we should be fighting against all sexual sins as much as we can and then relying on Christ for the rest when we cannot. Porn is just as bad as fornication because it is fornication, and it is just as bad as abortions. This is what we have gotten when we assign what type of sins are on each level. Yes some sins have degrees of punishments, but in God's all sin is wicked and he is a Holy God and hate all sin no matter how big or small we think it is. Sin is Sin and this is why Christ came to free us and redeem us.

That’s not biblical — that’s cope on steroids.” That really hit me hard. I guarded my purity quite strongly as a young woman. My husband is my one and only. I’ve taught my girls the same and they are doing quite well. My husband fell in love with me because of my innocence. He didn’t know from the offset that I was a virgin, but he knew I was pure, and he was attracted to that. What Rage says is correct, and it’s the real issue at hand. We are trying to raise godly and pure young people. Encouraging young women that they can be “more pure than a virgin” is a slap in the face to me and my girls. Encouraging young men to forgive and forget a girl’s past is dangerous for my son. And yours. I don’t deny that God forgives and heals. I’m happy for Trevor’s wife. But glorifying degeneracy is what got us here. And that’s what he’s doing, whether or not he realizes it.

YES! This woman has been under such terrible scrutiny and been told she’s worthless and women like her are not ideal women to be married to. It’s been terrible. ALL who are made new in Christ were once condemned in their sin. They were just as unclean and evil. I was one of them and I’ve never been promiscuous, but I’ve done so many other terrible things. We all had sin and death on us. We CHOSE sin over God everyday and even as Christian’s still struggle with sin. Even so, once we ask repent and ask Christ into our hearts, His Holy Spirit comes into us. When the Father sees us as judgement, He will see only His Son’s glorious blood covering us. He won’t see the terrible things we’ve done or thought that left us condemned before. Please if you ever look at another Christian as lesser and unworthy because of what they did when they show they’ve truly come to Christ, remember that you are just as evil apart from Christ. If God gave us all what we deserve, we’d be dead already!!!! But He loves us so much that He made it so Jesus would fulfill the prophecies of the Old Testament and bring a holy King to save us sinners! Be humble and thankful for the Lord’s grace. None of us deserve it so don’t shun someone for their past. When we are in Christ, our past selves are dead and we are made new in Him!!!!!!

These people’s theology is so messed up. There are temporal consequences to sin, even though they are forgiven. That’s like saying there’s no difference between a “reformed” serial killer who found Christ and my devout grandmother. Like yeah, there’s a difference. One killed a bunch of people and there are consequences to that. Can totally be forgiven, but the ramifications of our bad acts don’t just disappear once forgiven. That wouldn’t be just. And God is just. This shallow type of Christianity is a huge reason why I laughed at Christians in my teen/young adult years. Fairytale stuff with no substance, no logic.
