OS age verification law: "You no longer own your computer".
It violates the First, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments.
No OS has to comply - "any law repugnant to the Constitution is null and void". Developers who do deserve class-action lawsuits.

As I wake up this morning, this still baffles me. Why does the county give a shit? Most people, the buyer, has a home inspection done at their cost. Now they just shifted that to the seller and mandated it so the cost of the inspection will go up. We already have a housing problem and they just added to it. What am I missing so this makes sense?

Thurston County on Tuesday signed off on an ordinance requiring people to obtain a Home Energy Score (HES) before listing a property for sale. The policy aims to encourage people in unincorporated parts of the county to make energy efficiency and energy costs transparent to residents and the real estate market, according to the county website. The measure will not take effect until one year after the vote. The Thurston County Commission approved a requirement that homeowners obtain a professional evaluation of their insulation, heating and cooling systems, water heating systems, and other features before putting a property on the market.
