I have mentioned this before, but after thinking about it more, I want to reinforce the idea because it genuinely feels necessary:
The new ChatGPT app needs a third mode.
ChatGPT Companion
Talk, think, and grow.
Work is for productivity.
Codex is for building software.
Companion would be for conversation, learning, creativity, memory, voice, personal context, and long-term continuity.
ChatGPT is not only a work tool or coding agent. For many people, it is a space to think, explore ideas, and grow over time.
Companion could become the true home of ChatGPT.
