@ZKittyC @PeterBeinart “Don’t listen to numerous Jewish people who were polled, listen to me, ZkittyC! These are lies!” You’re a delusional ethnosupremacist bot.

American Jews hold a more favorable view of Zohran Mamdani than Americans as a whole and a less favorable view of Benjamin Netanyahu apnews.com/article/israel… Imagine if media coverage reflected that reality

A friend of mine on the Upper West Side was just informed his rent is being raised 6% — there are rent stabilized apartments in his building, that, as a reminder, are not means tested. This is not an isolated story. @ZohranKMamdani has effectively raised the rent on NY’ers citywide

Youth soccer (youth sports) is a competitive market with businesses selling a product that obviously customers are willing to pay for. I’d love if soccer was free to all. But who is going to pay for all this free soccer?
Clay Travis@ClayTravis

One big US soccer thought: our youth development has to get more affordable. One of my kids plays travel. It’s at least $5k a year & this isn’t even super high end. We can afford it, thankfully, lots can’t. Youth sports costs in the US are out of control, soccer more than most.

Socialism may sound appealing to some people today but history shows it has failed in many countries. Just look at Venezuela, Cuba, the Soviet Union and others. Those countries faced economic decline, shortages, and a loss of freedom. We shouldn’t repeat those mistakes. Many young people are struggling with high housing costs, student debt and uncertainty about their future. Those are real problems and we shouldn’t ignore them. But history shows that socialism doesn’t solve those problems. It often leads to less freedom, less innovation, and fewer opportunities. Instead of abandoning the system that has created so much opportunity, we should fix what’s broken while protecting the freedoms that have made America a country that millions of people still dream of coming to.

Dave, no matter what anyone says, do not back down from this. It’s bigger than you or me. The people of NYC need you now more than ever. Block out all the Woke noise of people saying it’s a bad idea. Save us from the most hated mayor in America, Zohran Mamdani
Acyn@Acyn

Watters: You might run against Mamdani? Portnoy: I would love to run against—if I was going to run, it would be here. Can I win here? I have no idea. I’ve done a lot of good in NYC, whether it was the Barstool Fund or pizza places, so it wasn’t for show. I’ve had a real job. I’ve done real things, unlike these clown politicians who have never had a job and have never been in the real world for a day

Recently, Mamdani used blatant antisemitic language against AIPAC, calling them “monsters moving dark money.” He then expressed sorrow over the elimination of a Hamas terrorist, and now says he does not support Israel as a Jewish state. When you connect all the dots, it becomes very easy to understand who @NYCMayor does support.

Misstating the facts is a convenient way to get clicks, but The Times has been documenting the increasingly extreme viewpoints on both sides of the political spectrum for years. Here are just a few examples from as recently as yesterday🧵
Mehdi Hasan@mehdirhasan

There are dozens of actual far-right extremists in the House GOP caucus, people who have said and done racist, corrupt, crazy things. And you’ve never heard of them. Because the Times and other establishment media outlets have never profiled them like this. The GOP gets a pass.

Congratulations to our newest members of the NYC congressional delegation. From public servants to union organizers to community activists, the path is different but the work is the same. We must decisively address the affordability crisis and crush far-right extremism!

Nick explains how the the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) win elections. They're putting the work in with 30,000 volunteers, and it's getting them results. "There's a lesson in there for Republicans."

My take is that Abdul is the weakest of the three Democratic options but he’ll still probably win a general election given the national political climate, and pro-Israel Republican donors should ask some questions about the wisdom of this approach.

Um … it’s pretty obviously not an attack ad — it’s the NRSC telling you they want El-Sayed to win the primary because they think he’s easier to beat. Do with that information what you will, but it’s what’s happening — Republicans want him to be the nominee.

DSAers are like, "Democrats are CRYING because we DOMINATED them" and really it's more like, "No, I'm frustrated b/c I have concerns you're going to give the GOP more power. Also I know I'll be slightly more baseline irritated by politics for the next 2 years, which kinda sucks."
