Medical professionals are held to the highest standards of professionalism, compassion and respect for human life. It is therefore alarming to hear reports that a UK doctor registered with the General Medical Council, who has made dehumanising, violent and abhorrent comments about the killing of babies in Gaza, is now practising in Leicester. I share the concerns that have been raised with me by my constituents over the weekend and I am investigating this matter to ensure it is fully addressed.
