Like, Love or Leave? DID YOU KNOW? In 1973, it was possible to buy a brand new car with a 440 SIX PACK! It was called the Jensen SP and it came with a 440 Six pack (385 H.P. & 490 lb. ft.). Jensen, a British car company, purchased a little over 200 440 Six Pack engines from Chrysler in 1971. Chrysler had them laying around and wasn't going to produce cars with them anymore. The Jensen SP was sold from 1971-1973. The 440 Six Packs were paired to a 727 torqueflite automatic. Some modifications were made like the accessories, they painted over the orange Chrysler paint with black because that was their typical engine color. Jensen valve covers replaced Chryslers metal orange ones. British magazines road tested the car and achieved a top speed of 151 miles per hour.

@nic_carter They've got it so wrong. 'For You' should be introducing you to new things based on what/who you like, and what you're saying. If I want to see what the people I follow are saying - 'Following'. For smart people, they are surprisingly stupid.

One of the most jarring things about adulthood is the realization of how many truly incompetent people are in the most important jobs. When I was a kid, I just assumed everyone “important” was smart or they wouldn’t be important. Boy, was that fucking wrong.

Someone just rewrote 40 years of PostgreSQL from scratch in Rust. and it already passes 100% of the official Postgres tests! It's called pgrust. Not a fork. A full ground-up reimplementation that already passes all 46,066 queries in postgres 18.3's official test suite. Postgres has been in development for 40 years, and some architectural decisions from the 80s are still causing outages today: → single-threaded per connection (one OS process per user) → 350+ tuning parameters you manage by hand → VACUUM alone has caused thousands of outages pgrust throws all of it out and starts from scratch. What already works: → 96% of PostgreSQL's regression suite passes → psql connects out of the box (full wire protocol compat) → query planner, buffer cache, storage engine, B-tree indexes → JSON/JSONB, window functions, foreign keys, EXPLAIN ANALYZE, regex → same engine compiled to WebAssembly, runs in your browser at pgrust .com 100% Open Source.

What your fashion choices say about you: Rolex/Patek or equivalent: I want you to judge me superficially, and I will do the same. Because this is my identity. Barbour jacket: I did gay things in prep school. Pocket square: I take myself too seriously, and cannot be trusted. And my Range Rover is leased. Vineyard Vines anything: If I trust you, I will tell you the best racist jokes. Monogrammed shirt: I cheat on my wife. Lululemon everything: My wife cheats on me. "Fun" socks: Zero personality. Backpack: I’m lazy and proud of it. Dress sneakers with a suit: I am even lazier. Oxford collar: I don't take risk. Fashion brand belt (Gucci or Hermes): I would steal from my own mother. Suit with no tie: Kiss my ass. Health monitor (watch, ring, wristband): I’m a sucker. Quarter zip pullover: IDGAF.
