We are now only a matter of weeks away from releasing the interim report on the potential corruption around the @unitetheunion Birmingham Hotel and conference centre and the Affiliated Services. When I became GS, I promised that I would uncover the truth, no matter how difficult that was. Despite the vile, ugly attacks on me from those with much to lose, I have kept that promise. Internalised misogyny is an incredibly dangerous threat to women. Those women who would side with an abuser, who’d sell away the rights of other women, who’d gleefully take part in witch hunts and bully other women. We need to learn to recognise it, and call it out.

Remove yourself from any place you don't feel valued or respected.. Life is just to short to put up with bs.

Empowered women go on to empower others—so encourage the women around you, and make them feel special and strong. Encourage your friends to speak up, tell their story, and make sure they know the value of their opinions, so that they’re never scared to use their voice.
