@m6502 I had another surgery on my back, finally not in pain, and could focus again. Also we are empty nesters now so I can see the end of the constant chaos tunnel to a time when I can spend more time on writing retro games.

@ElectricAdv I went full in on Konami, so luckily I've got that complete now ( as far as any collection can ever be complete ). Not too worried about the disks not working. I just assume all floppies to be dead in 2026. If they work, that's just a bonus! 😅

@bitsofbas Yes and unfortunately it’s disc so can’t be sure it’s working before purchase :( I am so glad I got both of these quite a few years ago.

Unfortuneately you can't use cartridges without the Plus 1 Expansion unit (which also adds a joystick port as well). These are extremely hard to come by, especially here in Australia. But the community has come to the rescue with a Raspberry Pi-based Plus 1 Mini Expansion Interface that brings the above features and much more! 48k Spectrum - Local Market FInd - Pickup, Repair & Play youtu.be/5_hOZ6H4my4?si… via @YouTube I don't find many items in my local area, but when this item popped up on Facebook Marketplace, I had to grab it. A machine that I used to have in my collection, but sadly lost during a house move, an original Spectrum 48k, with its distinctive rubber keyboard, finally joins the retro computer collection again.
