Thread It's approaching 104 weeks, or 2 years, since I began my weekly 20 decades for the priests and seminarians on twitter. In fact, I believe the Monday that marks 2 years is the feast of Saints Joachim and Anne, and nine days away from the feast of St John Vianney.

Happy 19 years of being Catholic to me. Today 19 years ago I was baptised, confirmed and received my first communion. Usually I celebrate this day somehow, but for today I'm just doing laundry, taking out garbage, and hanging out with my cat.

@IdMarkEgo @tazdedub @lady_valor_07 I'm a millennial. My grandparents kept lots of old stuff though so I've used their rotary phone (when I was younger), and I had to send/receive a fax once (I don't remember what for but I remember using a shop fax machine and needing guidance to do it 😅).

Apparently the HC3 certificate for help with health care costs entitles me to pay £43.74 for a voucher towards glasses... And the voucher is worth £42.00 according to my optician. So umm.. what is the point of this HC3 thing then? 🤔 Maybe the dental portion proves more useful?

At Edinburgh Zoo, Gentoo penguins are starting their breeding season. Kids from Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity painted pebbles for the penguins to present to their mates and can watch the birds choose their favorite via livestream.

Fire crews remain at the scene of the Glasgow city centre blaze - and it looks like operations are still not finished. High-reach appliances are still being used to direct water onto the remains of the building, which has been reduced to ash and rubble. This suggests crews are working to extinguish 'hot pockets' - zones under the debris which are still smouldering 👇

@StuartW90274038 @ScotRail But a rail replacement bus would go straight to Glasgow and take about fifteen minutes instead of forty-five minutes to an hour. Hoping they'll do a rail replacement bus from Paisley to Glasgow. A lot of people rely on the trains to get to work and this will affect their jobs.

🚨 UPDATE: Glasgow Central Station closed after city centre blaze More than 60 firefighters are battling a major fire on Union Street in Glasgow city centre, hours after the blaze was first reported on Sunday afternoon. The fire broke out in a four-storey commercial building near Glasgow Central at around 3.46pm, with reports of an explosion heard and large plumes of smoke seen across the area. Glasgow Central Station has now been closed, with all high-level train services suspended and trains running through the low-level line unable to stop at the station. Police have cordoned off Union Street between Gordon Street and St Vincent Street, and the public is being urged to avoid the area.
