A major transmission line that would have brought renewable energy to NYC was canceled because for-profit developers canceled the renewable projects it needed to connect to. The facts are clear: we cannot rely on corporations. We need 15 gw of public renewables by 2030, no less.

It’s dark as hell and also it’s worth remembering: NYS has enormous powers as a state government. On climate/jobs, the state can and should do most of what’s needed. We have to make Hochul step up to the crisis. No more hiding behind the feds. No excuses now.
