@robkhenderson It’s not a matter of “eagerness.” If a woman doesn’t have financial independence via a bank account, it’s the street or homelessness for her. Duh. The purpose was to trap women in awful marriages.

You often see these kind of comments when people are exposed to these data. I always think, though, if a woman today were banned from opening a bank account or owning a home, would she really become more eager to marry a man?

@tom_peters @neeratanden As a woman, I am not stunned in the least. I have been trying to sound this alarm since 2016. It was always men, even men on the left, saying I was exaggerating. Misogyny is a sign of a civilization collapsing. Men become increasingly insecure by their failures and blame women.

This is the Atlantic cover story on 14 May. At my age, I do not usually use words like “stunned.“ But I am stunned. Stunned that one could make a strong’ logical, perhaps even irrefutable argument that misogyny is the number one driving force for the MAGA herd. God help us all.

@marriedmn lol, most people need two incomes to supper a family. In case you haven’t noticed, men are liabilities because they are refusing to work. It’s play video games, become an influencer or “entrepreneur.” Meanwhile, women are plugging away at reality. Women do not marry down.

Highly educated women will be completely out of the marriage market in the next 7 years. House wife will be the next big thing in demand - by men and families in general. Most men don't care about a woman's degrees, career or achievements.

@RichardHanania Neither was Clint Eastwood Moses. The point is to make white people realize how non-whites felt from the many whitewashed roles over the years. It’s a form of purposeful trolling.

One week of groceries for a family. Nothing extravagant. Just the bare bones in a blue state. I stay home. My husband only leaves the house to work. We have cancelled vacations. Taken our children out of extracurricular activities. Cancelled our gym membership’s. We do not go out to restaurants frequently. I’m wearing the same old clothes that I have for years and I need socks and underwear, but that will have to, I guess, never happen. @RFKJr_Official @POTUS @JDVance HELP!

@DagnyTaggartUSA @missiville_ Actually, it’s exactly the context. No other president has single-handedly driven up inflation as much as Trump. I left a red state to live in a blue state. In red states, women aren’t considered equal humans. A dog has more right not to die from a life threatening pregnancy.

@RichardHanania @AlexanderMcCoy4 That is exactly who we need in the senate: people who understand normal Americans because they are normal Americans. The millionaires in the senate don’t actually represent the majority of Americans because they represent affluent retards like you who voted for a con-artist.

For the last decade young women have been immersed in a culture that frames men less as partners & more as potential threats who are oppressive and dangerous. When every institution reinforces that relationships are where women lose freedom and men fail them, it’s not surprising that girls have become more cynical about marriage

@elonmusk I can see when faculty stopped being exclusively white and male from these graphs and how sociological research responds to the bigotry of the moment. You and all the tech bros out there are truly stupid machines.

@bethanyjbabcock @BradWilcoxIFS @grantjbailey It’s tech that turned boys, especially, into ambition-less liabilities. They are addicted to video games and homo-social online relationships, with little interest in getting a job.

It’s not the iPhone or the girls. Have you talked to teenage boys recently? These girls don’t see partners they see liabilities. A good chunk have Zero ambition outside video games or pursuing “careers” in music. A girl’s motherly instinct kicks in when she meets a good match. How do I know? I was the same all throughout highschool and college until I met my husband. A guy that had work ethic and could participate in the family, bam.. I now wanted kids. I have several other friends that were the same way.

I feel like it was easier to write influential big ideas books in the midcentury era because the norms of the period did not expect authors to assemble any kind of evidence for their claims.

@Baronsamdee24 @MeidasClips @MeidasTouch There will be an election. Whether it will be fair and free is dubious. SCOTUS, for one, just brought us Jim Crow 2.0 by gutting section 2 of the civil rights act. He will put federal law enforcement outside precincts in swing districts to intimidate voters.

America is in an affordability crisis. Groceries. Gas. Rent. Healthcare. So when given a chance to walk back his comments about not caring about Americans' financial situation, what did Donald Trump do? He doubled down. "That's a perfect statement. I'll make it again."

@BigHuncho3722 @Acyn Or, by carving up cities and attaching them to rural districts that have nothing in relation to their needs, republicans show themselves to be obsessed with white supremacy. Republican-made districts make no sense. Keep rural districts together. Keep city districts together.
