@punicist The fortress is itself built on an originally a roman fort, the city is quite old as one would notice from its name “monastir” > “monastery”

@Demsan_op @domainechambord J'ai visité ce château et je sais pas comment ils se sont débrouillé pour que l'intérieur soit aussi exigu, je ne suis pas sûre qu'il y ait une salle dans laquelle on peut faire une table ronde avec les 20 monarches

@shabuisx @AghlabidEnjoyer I never said we were closer to french people. But if you want to make an argument about prefering arabic to french, let the people decide by themselves

@Elnogoth @AghlabidEnjoyer In other words, while being Amazigh we are culturally, through religion and even shared history going back to ancient times (Canaanites) closer to the ARAB world than to french people who massacred 1/3 of Algeria and literally hate us and our religion.

@shabuisx @AghlabidEnjoyer I'd challenge that claim about the vocabulary as mentioned above. Yes, i agree for the mena/arab, it endorsed the role of a pan-semitic union.

@Elnogoth @AghlabidEnjoyer 90% of Tunisians vocabulary is Arab OR ARAB IN ORIGIN. I didn’t say this because I think it’s true or want it to be true. You can look it up. We are now part of the broader MENA (arab) world which is basically the successor of the past Semite Canaanite world anyway.

@Olivisoffical It would be impossible. One placement on the weighing machine, it will be shown automatically. Chocolates don't have the density or the weight of the gold. To smuggle gold, you have to find a material that is cheaper, legal and also same density as gold.

@shabuisx @AghlabidEnjoyer I do not advocate for speaking pure canaanite either which would be colonial, nor do i ignore the arabic influence in tunisian. Remains that neither is the mother tongue of the population, they enriched what is the mother tongue

@Elnogoth @AghlabidEnjoyer Arabic is closer to Tunisian than French. 90% of Tunisians vocabulary is Arabic or Arabic in origin. Also, we are closer to them. Also, Tunisia has been part of Islamic and broader Arab civilization for 1400 years. If you claim Arab is colonial, than so is Canaanite and Punic.

@shabuisx @AghlabidEnjoyer With WHICH arab is the question, gulf ? Mesopotamian ? No. Lebanese/Syrian yes without a doubt they'd understand most of it (minus the berber words). Egyptian is farther from Tunisian despite geographical closeness. Arabic is a superstratum, substratums explain the rest

@Elnogoth @AghlabidEnjoyer I’m Tunisian. Tunisian is mostly Arabic. I can speak in Tunisian with most Arabs and they will have difficulty understanding me but they get enough words and context to comprehend it. And the rest is timazigh. It only has some Latin, Greek, Canaanite words here and there

@HisanDaStallion @3karkadan @samerel070 @AghlabidEnjoyer To give you an example, Augustine of Hippo wrote in latin as did all the latin africans back then, but he spoke also tamazight and punic. Exogenous languages can mean prestige and reach, but the truth underneath doesn't change

You sound like those nationalist losers who make up own identity and language Tunisia is largely Arab and language is Arabic and greatest figures were Arab for example ibn Khaldoun You can never remove Islam from Tunisia or Arab identity no matter how hard you suck French penis eventually it will take over again its just matter of time

@HisanDaStallion @3karkadan @samerel070 @AghlabidEnjoyer Tunisian was always there from the start and evolved continuously. Latin, Arabic, French, Ottoman Turkish were spoken by the population. Those languages come and go and people can forsake them, Tunisian still remains. I see no difference between you and someone who prefers French

@shabuisx @AghlabidEnjoyer Also it's grammar is a mix of tamazight, punic and arabic). Notably the only arabic feature in grammar is the reflexive mafuûl form for adjectives, the rest is divergent and follows more closely north west semitic (punic, aramean, hebrew) or is blatantly berber
