@JHrnandzVilla @tom_karnes @Duncannedd Technological literacy is a big issue. I know my local library offers free courses on basic computer skills and there’s a few computers there available for public use.

@tom_karnes A3) I believe that computer cafes should be brought back in order for the community to become knowledgeable on how to properly use technology. The challenges that most low socioeconomic face is the funds to create change to their communities. #CSUBTED #CSUBEDTE4200 @Duncannedd

@Salto_Leydi @tom_karnes @Ststansberry Great idea! Partnering with these places is much less expensive than hand outing technology and hotspots and eliminates the risk of students not being technology back. Schools can also recommend places that already have tons of resources like public libraries.

@tom_karnes Partnering with local restaurants and libraries can be helpful for those students who do not have a place to study or have access to internet at home. Some students also do not have the proper electronics at home. #csubedte4200 @Ststansberry

@mportillo7673 @doctor2pi Marina, I like that in addition to using Google Translate as a writing tool, ELLs can also use the microphone button to say unfamiliar words. Some languages also offer pronunciations of the translations, as well as the ability to copy or search Google for the translations.

@doctor2pi A2) I believe Google Translate is a great tool that can benefit English Language Learners! If there are any words they cannot comprehend a quick search could take that confusion away in a flash! #CSUBTED #EDTE4200 @doctor2pi

@doctor2pi A2) One app I learned could help benefit EL learners could be FlipGrid. It allows students to interact with each other through video and be able to comment on each others responses. It also benefits teachers to see the EL students progress.

@doctor2pi @Duncannedd A2) Grammarly can help ELLs. It easily be used as a website or an extension. Grammarly helps with spelling and different grammar conventions. They also explain why they are suggesting changes (redundancy, improper tense, etc.). @Duncannedd #EDTE4200 #CSUBTED

@tom_karnes A3) Barriers to tech include no: devices, wifi, & info about tech. We can help through devices & hotspots at school (potentially sent home), remind community members of public resources (ex: libraries), & teach students technological literacy #CSUBEDTE4200 #CSUBTED @Duncannedd

@dobbyysock @BarnellNicole @doctor2pi Madison, great ideas! I also like that tech allows students to send peers (and teachers) messages. That takes off some stress and can lead to getting to know how we learn and build relationships better.

@BarnellNicole A1) Technology can be used to foster relationships w/ students by allowing students to send messages to you & other students, collaborate on assignments, work together to build a positive classroom environment, & help make learning fun! #csubedte #csubedte4200 @Duncannedd

This is my first tweet for #CSUBEDTE4200. I've already learned so much about how to use technology in the classroom and found some great resources. At first I was nervous since I didn't grow up with technology in the classroom. Now I'm excited to see what I can do next! #csubted
