The base isn't stupid. Rule #1 of being a Republican officeholder: do not weaken your own voters' electoral power.

I would like to publicly endorse Scott Pressler for Chairman of the RNC.
Tyler Bowyer as co-Chair.
No one cares more about Republican base strategy on a grassroots level than these two.
It would mean Republican majorities for the next 50 years.

so you're telling me spirit airlines was in trouble, knew they had to do something, and attempted to participate in the free market by allowing jetblue to acquire them.
the government then stepped in and said, “no, you’re not allowed to participate in the free market, " denying the acquisition.
so then spirit, knowing that they were about to fail, seeks a government bailout, only to be told, "no, you must participate in the free market” to which they were denied participation in.
this doesn’t seem like free market capitalism to me.

The problem with the red button/blue button game is that it’s a zero stakes hypothetical.
How about we make it more serious by putting our 𝕏 accounts on the line?
Everyone on 𝕏 has the option to take a vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone keeps their account. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button keep their account. Which button would you press?
Post evidence of your vote. If you vote blue and end up in a minority you have to delete your 𝕏 account.

If you genuinely think every capable person is going to press red, you are wrong. Meaning, there will for sure be deaths if you do not pick blue.
To me, it is morally wrong to be okay with those people dying just because they didn’t make the choice you want them to. 50% of people choosing blue is literally all it takes to keep EVERYONE alive.
