@SwiftMacro @zerohedge Yes but the rerouting does not remove the risk associated with having energy infrastructure in a war zone, especially by proxy and markets are taking that into accunt.

If this were a true supply collapse, you wouldn’t see exports recovering this quickly. This is a flow shock, not a depletion event. Pipelines, rerouting, and alternative ports are already absorbing part of the disruption. The longer that continues, the weaker the “sustained shortage” narrative becomes.

Agreed but brent is priced globally. Physical supply shocks at key export terminals lead to delayed loadings, tankers waiting or rerouting (longer voyages = extra days/weeks for shipments). There are also higher shipping/tanker rates, war-risk insurance jumps, freight costs soar on reroutes or risk premiums. Port delays/logistics chaos lead to suppliers scrambling for alternatives all adding to costs that get passed on. The idea that the impact to SA will be minimal because we get the majority of our crude from Africa is a misconception.

People are concerned about South Africa's ability to refine crude oil because some refineries may be down, this leads to increased imports of refined product, such as; diesel and petrol. Reliance on certain countries during the Middle East tension does creates risk, obviously. There are negative effects that will ripple across the global economy, and South Africa isn't immune to such. However, there is also plenty of fear mongering, too, making things seem a lot worse than what they actually are. 🔸Based on the 2024 figures, Oman and India accounted for 34 percent (3.6 billion litres) and 20 percent (2.1 billion litres) of South Africa’s diesel imports, respectively. 🔸The UAE and India accounted for 35 percent (1.4 billion litres) and 24 percent (971 million litres) of South Africa’s petrol imports in 2024, respectively. Italy came in third at 12 percent (489 million litres) and Saudi Arabia at 11 percent (4445 million litres). Now with Oman, its geography allows much of its oil to be exported through terminals such as (1) Duqm and (2) Sohar located outside the strait of Hormuz, helping the country avoid a complete disruption to their exports. (Now you see why these terminals were also hit by drones, it ties into that ability to export). __________________________ Some people are hell-bent on seeing South Africa suffer and to cause more panic than necessary. So we have refining capacity, albeit strained, yes. With most crude oil coming from African markets. This is potential ✅ Yes, we import refined product too, but it is also from diversified sources, albeit with exposure to the Middle East, but their is some resilience ✅ -Yes disruptions will occur -Yes increased demand may effect our imports -Yes there will be negative effects But my point being is that, South Africa isn't entirely exposed, our energy needs and imports are diversified to an extent where South Africa can mitigate some of the effects. Not all the effects, but at a least there is something. That is the point.

If you're like most people, the idea of facing the unvarnished truth makes you anxious. To get over that, you need to understand intellectually why untruths are scarier than truths and then, through practice, get accustomed to living with them. If you're sick, it's natural to fear your doctor's diagnosis--what if it's cancer or some other deadly disease? As scary as the truth may turn out to be, you will be better off knowing it in the long run because it will allow you to seek the most appropriate treatment. The same holds for learning painful truths about your own strengths and weaknesses. #principleoftheday

@TheOneLanceB Not defending or saying they were or weren't involved, but if Trump and Elon for example were so deeply implicated, given the presidential race and Elon backing Trump, would the democrats not have used this information to prevent a Trump win? Why sit on it?

Epstein files really are pretty wild. Things I’m thinking about… -It is clear that Kash Patel, Trump, Gates, Musk, Bannon, Lutnick, Clinton, Prince Andrew, and many more blatantly lied to us about their relationship w JE. Patel and others even lying under oath. -Given how brazen everyone was over email, it seems much harder to believe that everyone didn’t know JE was a purveyor of young AND underaged women. Young women is creepy but legal. Underaged obvious illegal and I don’t think it’s plausible to believe everyone involved didn’t know JE did both given his conviction. What’s crazy is people like Musk are still trying to gaslight their way out of it as if we can’t see the evidence right in front of our eyes. -Many of these people are pedophiles or at the least, complicit in sexual abuse, prostitution, and age-inappropriate relationships. -I’d imagine, we still only know 40% of the truth and the really scary stuff goes way deeper. If all of this was said over email, what was reserved for the phone or in-person? Think about how much more careful you are over email…. -I don’t believe in most conspiracy theories at all, but sure does make you now question JE committing suicide. I’ll take the under. -It seems quite likely there even were murders and abortions forced upon these situations. -Wild to see Peter Attia, one of my major role models, involved to some degree. Although much trickier situation due to patient-doctor privilege, he probably can’t speak on much of his relationship even after death. What did or didn’t Peter know? JE was at the minimum already convicted of prior offenses. For those of us who admire Peter, how does that change our views and how do we feel now? Especially if patient-doctor relationship might restrict his ability to defend? Given clearly - he knew and was part of a relationship w JE that knew sick details and he received perks from JE. -Can people still genuinely argue that Trump hasn’t been involved in some fucked up way? That given ALL the evidence and comments, Trump somehow was totally aloof to JE’s dealings? If a Trump fan, how does this change your views, if at all? If a Musk fan, how does this change your views of him? -The biggest takeaway for me is the power and allure of young women on men that have it all. How brazen everything was. How invincible this ring felt they were given the connections and blackmail they had. It goes to show how no matter how smart, rich, or powerful you are… the lowest most basic sexual urges overpower any rationality. Everyone involved must have known what they were doing is ethically, morally, and legally wrong. -What happens next is the real question. What is the public willing to put up with? What are we willing to normalize? A crazy amount of the current administration, including our own President, had some role and was complicit in this.

I don't see this as antisemetic or conspiratorial at all, this is higher-order market analysis. Riggers think in incentives and liquidity, not identity or ideology. Moral or ideological framing keeps the discussion at first-order thinking, which is exactly what the riggers want us to do in the end.
