People have become so obsessed with the failures of Concord/Highguard that they’ve convinced themselves to hate games they’d love. This era of hive mentality will kill games and make devs not take risks. Good games dying because bad games died and Twitter calls everything “woke”.

@EndlessGl Let's see. There was an art theft scandal for Marathon that "got settled privately"....Cross then "leaves" for disconnected reasons(sure thing😂), game then releases to financial disaster for Sony. Artwork ends up being part of the problem. Don't gotta' be Sherlock to figure out.

@Ozymandias0_ Marathon's art direction was heavily criticized BEFORE the art scandal though. It was genuinely the main talking point about the game. I think this is just recency bias. Dispatch is also a game with far more broad appeal AS A GAME. People thought of it like "Invincible: The Game"

@EndlessGl The reason that narrative prevailed is that, in my opinion, the art direction for HG, Concord, and Marathon (plagiarism scandal) is poor. That’s why people began to associate "woke" with poor artistic design, and that is why they are winning the public debate.
