@NaveenGRao The current school and college system is so arcane. Make most of education except for some group and lab activities online and let the chips fall where they may.

@RealJimChanos Raising cash probably easier more so considering Amazon has its own massive cash needs. It is a low hanging fruit to go after manufacturing, don't you think?

KING ALERT: Congrats to @roaner & @AnushElangovan & 10x AMD China Engineering team for its amazing FP8 MI355 ROCm SGLang disaggregated performance beating NVIDIA Blackwell! They are also the Inference King! 👑

@dee_bosa It is not "Nvidia is becoming an operating system" but "Nvidia wants to become an operating system". Nvidia want a lot of things that it doesn't get. An important thing for reporters is not to fall into the reality distortion fields of charismatic leaders.

Jensen Huang doesn't need a new chip. He needs a new moat. Nvidia's most ambitious move from GTC was NemoClaw --a free, open-source AI agent platform designed to keep every company dependent on Nvidia's computing power, even as the chip competition heats up Nvidia is becoming an operating system. The market is still pricing it as a chipmaker. w/ @jaswu_

got a lotta "why is the stock down those were good numbers!" Qs on $MU: - they guided to 81% GMs...do u think it's gonna be materially higher or is this as good as it gets? - bet has moved from 2nd deriv to "sustainability" which is a different and worse bet. admittedly still BV support but peak "tightness" is likely behind us - WFE is probably good ( $ASML $AMAT $ONTO $ASM.NA $LRCX) until we have line of sight into memory px declining which we do not have Will not delete even if wrong (and feel free to dig up ones where I was!)

@JaMarc0 @DylanOnChips @DreadyBear Doesn't matter. You can look at the specs and see that they are seriously lagging. Let them share neutral benchmarks of the crappy product lineup and people will see. But they never will. Of course, they will do some proprietary benchmark fakery and get customers.

Semiconductor News by Dylan Martin
Jensen: "There are no CPUs in the world that are two times the performance of anything else, besides Vera." He doesn't see Nvidia's CPUs playing in the traditional server CPU market: "That's not the problem we're trying to solve."

@JaMarc0 @DylanOnChips @DreadyBear AWS guys thinking that they can compete with merchant semi guys in a fast-moving space is a fallacy. All else being equal, companies who stick to their core competency will do better in the long term.

FinTwit is full of finance guys who neither know semiconductors nor finance but have a lot of opinions. You can imagine a lot of things. If you don't understand the structural changes to memory from AI, your opinion on the subject is worth zero.

People are surprised that $MU is down on stellar tripled yoy revenues. But they are quiet about the fact price is up like seven fold in the same period. Imagine when shortages are resolved and there is a glut, these stocks will drop 75% $SNDK $MU $WDC $STX

@TShirtnJeans2 @KristinaParts I could be wrong, but the apparent underweighting is because of many funds are capped at 5% or some such number and Nvidia has grown bigger than that.

Nvidia's CFO signaled buybacks + dividends will hit 50% of free cash flow. Wall St. estimates FCF at ~$190B this year. So that's ~$95B back to shareholders — roughly double last year's $41B. And yet $NVDA shares didn't budge. Why?

@DylanOnChips @DreadyBear On a different note, I may be coming across as critical, but I consider you the best tech reporter today on PC/Server hardware. Kudos.

@DylanOnChips @DreadyBear By the way, Amazon is on the wrong path with Graviton in my view (I have written about it). Graviton is not a competitive chip. Amazon's customers are getting screwed and one day they may find out.

@DreadyBear @DylanOnChips So, I have not seen Vera specs so I can't be sure but my preliminary view is that, on its merits, I doubt Vera will do well but Nvidia push its bundles and there is no stopping that.

Musk is ramping up nonsense on Terafab. This is standard Musk playbook and nothing but an attempt raise money that he desperately needs with the excuse of a new con that will never amount to anything. $TSLA

@IanCutress Sincere questions by the way. I have read your work for a couple of decades now. Once a so-called analyst does paid work for companies, that person immediately loses value to me as far as that company is concerned. Of course, one can be paid for a PR piece but that is different.

@IanCutress I am an investor and found you valuable when you were writing publicly but not now. Hoe do you work with investors? The supply chain angle flummoxes me. I ran semiconductor product lines and would never consider putting an outsider in the supply chain equation. How do you help?
