@PAU_Uganda This is an excellent way to look at it. Now we need to remove the potholes on that highway to enterprise development and put refilling stations that provide capital & business devt services to those taking that path. Thank you @allen_kagina for this

“The future of work is rapidly evolving. Today’s employers seek more than narrow specialization—they value adaptability, problem-solving, digital literacy, teamwork, communication, innovation, and technical versatility. The oil and gas sector naturally builds these competencies through its high standards, strict compliance, and technology-driven operations. A welder trained to international standards can thrive in manufacturing and infrastructure, a health and safety professional can transition into construction, aviation, or mining, and an ICT specialist can support telecommunications or smart agriculture. This cross-sector mobility is what makes transferable skills one of Uganda’s greatest economic opportunities.” — Ms. @Allen_Kagina , Chairperson, TVET Board, Uganda #OilSkillsExpoUg26

SSALAMBWA! When I accidentally met his son Matia this week, I recalled that @MODVA_UPDF lost Maj Ssalambwa on 5 May 1988. This @smackists OB was just 29 when he fell & his remarkable 7-year war exploits face sure extinction, unless... RIP "Stinker", you did things! #Owanapaedia

In the early 90s we had Steyr buses plying the Kitgum-Gulu-Kampala routes. The bus type was shipped (over 50 units) in a loan scheme guaranteed by Cooperative bank (farmers' bank) - its intended failure later led to the liquidation of the bank. It was a fresh breath of air from the Leylands that dominated the buses space. Many companies received pieces...1 or 2. We had Mon Yela Got Mola and COVMO (Charles Otti Motorvehicles Company) shipping us around from the north to Kampala.

The man who threw a water bottle at during a public event did not just disappear after the incident. Security officers moved quickly and arrested him on the spot. According to reports, he was taken in for questioning as authorities tried to understand his motive. Throwing objects at a sitting president is taken very seriously because it is seen as a security threat, even if no harm is caused. What made the moment even more shocking is how fast it happened. One second it was a normal rally, the next second the bottle was flying through the air. The president reacted instantly, shielding himself, while security rushed to control the situation. For many people watching, the incident raised concerns about safety at public gatherings. It also sparked debate online, with some asking what pushed the man to do it, while others focused on how security handled it. In the end, the man is likely to face charges related to public disorder and threatening a national leader. His actions turned a normal political event into a moment that many Kenyans will not forget anytime soon.

@mandyug @KCCAUG @mandyug you must be feeling great satisfaction as u witness the demolition of illegal structures countrywide and less public outcry. Citizens must have been cognisant of the fact that they knew about this illigality but ignored it. Ur team laid a good foundation

Don’t wonder why people are fussing about this! Ask them why! It has taken 16 years to look like what it was envisaged, thanks to a collaborative and consistent approach, and yet not what it should be! Well done, Kampala!! 💃🏾💃🏾@KCCAUG

Remember Baron Kasozi, league top try scorer for 3 years (2016-19)? How about Alfred Karekaho, Uganda U19 MVP (2005)? Ever asked yourself about Pius Mpoza & Henry Musisi? They could-have should-have been capped Rugby Cranes internationals but somehow… nbssport.co.ug/2026/04/09/sho…
