@EnglishAutism "Literally" everything shares a common ancestry. I would argue that our ancestry "on the continent" largely predates any meaningful concept of a nation/people. But the bigger point is that "European", no matter what, is just something Greeks call of us, its not an identity.

I am NOT European. "Europe" is foreign and alien concept, and its not a continent. There has never been a common European culture, people, language, or nation. I'm from Albion, which is an island, not part of the peninsula known as Europe. Most "Europeans" are complete foreigners

@Kengetskeltikos It's not about how you personally identify, Europeans and Brits literally all share common ancestory. Everyone from the British isles has ancestry from mainland Europe. I agree we aren't European but our ties to the continent can't be denied.

@EnglishAutism That is a very Greek way of thinking. Its them who started calling everyone "European". I don't buy into it, I don't accept it. Its not an ancestral self ID for me.

@EnglishAutism @thoggling @monashposting when did you last play? Gotterdammerung reworked the whole German tree, but the historical fascist elements are some of the most detailed of any nation. Meanwhile the alt-history routes are still poorly designed and are mostly based around civil wars, which aren't fun!

@thoggling @monashposting some paths are fun and interesting, sure, but many countries have paths that are more loved than others; Germany's alt history pathways are NOT well developed, & the Soviet Union's ones are if anything over developed compared to the "historical line"

@Kengetskeltikos "ethnically European" refers to anyone who descends from a European ethnicity. This term makes sense since all Europeans have common ancestry. It's the exact same if I said "ethnically British" to refer to English, Scottish, Welsh, Cornish, Irish, etc.

@EnglishAutism "We are ethnically European" "European" certainly is not my ethnicity. I know what you're going to say, "its not that European is the ethnicity but our ethnicity is one from Europe", and no, thats still incorrect. Albion is not in Europe.

@ReddCinema Chicken sandwich. Burger is a patty of ground meat. Any country who says it otherwise is wrong.

Today is 🇬🇪 Georgia's Independence Day. The population is just a smidgen more than 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Cymru (Wales). Pop. 🇬🇪 = 3.6 million 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 = 3.2 million FACT Georgia can create all its own laws, and manage its own affairs. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_(…

@Tom_Rowsell @romanovitj Spainland and Italianland don't sound right. Portugueseland? Ukrainland? Maybe there's alternate names for these countries we could derive the new names from that would sound better when put next to "land"

@WiciCymru Average Salaries in Georgia are under £700 a month and twice as many people live in poverty. No NHS either so that's what an independent Wales would look like. F'kin skint. But at least we would be able to mike out own Laws 🤪

@WiciCymru I'll never understand this mindset of needing to compare yourselves to other relatively small countries to somehow justify your persuit of independence. Almost feels like you're embarrassed and looking for affirmation.

Whilst I’d love to call British soldiers Wiga’s and Anglish is pretty cool academically speaking, it is never going anywhere and it reeks of LARP. We aren’t Anglo-Saxons. There does not exist a method by which we could construct a “native British/English” language because we are a Celtic and Germanic people (the average Englishman has about 40-60% Brythonic ancestry). We have virtually zero recorded knowledge of the English Brythonic language besides from theorised remnants in names and the structure of tag questions. So whilst we could try to go about reconstructing a Brythonic English with the aim of using it as a register for a “fully English” English language, it’d be pretty useless. Nobody needs or wants that outside of a small subsection of chauvinists and language aficionados.
Wylfċen@wylfcen

STOP saying “soldier.” That’s from French. The native English word would be “wye,” from Old English wiga.
