What are those gameplay mechanics/tropes that everyone seems to hate even though they are good design? Examples being Doom3 flashlight and shotgun :^)

@DaveOshry Agreed. All the Elden Ring lore videos really helped me fall in love with the world even more. A way to see if I’ve completed a dungeon and a bestiary would have been slick.

I think probably somewhere between ELDEN RING DOESN'T TELL YOU ANYTHING and GOD OF WAR TELLS YOU TOO MUCH is probably just the right amount of storytelling for games.
