Ummm no?? Dedicated bus lanes won’t delay 911 service. In fact, emergency vehicles can travel on those lanes.

@streetsforall Dont do it Burbank! you will regret it, especially on Olive. Dedicated Bus/Bike lanes are the worst for traffic. Not only will it increase traffic, it will delay 911 service. I have experienced it first hand and i have been in the vehicle with lights and sirens on.

ZERO of the major permanent transit projects in LA were funded by and planned for the Olympics (that was Measure M and other efforts).

I'm not a huge fan of the Olympics but hearing that LA is building no new venues and instead spending tens of billions of dollars on transit projects to make 2028 a "transit first" event almost changes my mind. Meanwhile SF can't find $300M for Muni or finish the T line.

@dontfckwjustice @Unpop_Science The sea lions are invasive in Washington and have become a major problem in recent years as they are swimming up our rivers and decimating what’s left of the salmon populations. Even left leaning politicians propose bounty hunting them. Actually relevant context here imo.

Last night, police officers shot a man several times at a home in Altadena. The LAPD refuses to arrest or identify the shooters.

The suspect was struck by gunfire and remained non-compliant. Officers deployed a 40mm foam round and ultimately took the suspect into custody. Officers rendered aid until fire paramedics who transported the suspect to a nearby hospital -listed in stable condition.
