Why should taxpayers pay $1.7 billion to compensate January 6th criminals? @DonaldTrump is paying people that attacked our capitol, attacked brave police officers, and threatened the foundation of our democracy. .@lawler4ny – you really want to campaign with this guy tomorrow?

Once again, the Trump administration has chosen to stand with powerful corporations over the health and safety of the American people. Now they’re gutting regulations that protect us from forever-chemicals linked to cancer being dumped into our drinking water. Mega-corporations get to pollute, while our children, our families, and our communities pay the price. op: @drjessicaknurick

Trump’s DOJ has accused the Southern Poverty Law Center of funding hate. It's absurd, especially while this admin is set to pay out violent rioters with our tax dollars. The SPLC fought the KKK and defended our voting rights in NC. These charges are ridiculous and un-American.

Republicans are helping Trump STEAL from the American people to fund his ballroom and his MAGA slush fund. Democrats will offer amendment after amendment to lower costs on everything from health care to groceries to gasoline. The contrast could not be clearer.

Let's be clear: Trump's slush fund creates a loyal militia of insurrectionists who are ready to break the law on his behalf and who will be PAID for their loyalty with your taxpayer money. There are no words left to describe the corruption we are witnessing.

The DOJ’s indictment of the @SPLCenter is a complete abomination that is designed solely to muzzle an organization that correctly calls out hate on the far right. .@DAGToddBlanche went on TV to claim the government “had no idea” that the SPLC used informants to gather information on hate groups. Five days later, he had to admit that it was an undisputed, well-documented fact that SPLC shared this info with law enforcement for years. That admission destroys his fraud claim and exposes this as just another of DOJ’s political hit jobs designed to protect far-right groups. @HouseGOP refuses to investigate these blatant abuses of power, but accountability is coming when @HouseDemocrats take back the majority in January.

As 10,000 baby boomers a day become eligible for Social Security, Republicans still won't work with us. Their plan is to raise the retirement age and slash your benefits. Prices are skyrocketing. We need to enhance Social Security by making the wealthy pay their fair share!

Trump said he wanted to 'drain the swamp.' Instead, he has filled the sewer with corruption, cronyism, conflict, and chaos while taking a chainsaw to the Constitution. I will continue to fight to hold the President accountable and call out his Republican majority for being complicit in his schemes.

Sean Duffy's "Great American Road Trip" was sponsored by the very corporations he regulates. He blew a gasket when I asked him to answer basic questions about his all-expense-paid vacation. Americans deserve answers, so I'm calling for an Inspector General investigation.

Today, Republicans left town without funding Trump’s mass deportations, billionaire ballroom, or his January 6 slush fund. We will remain ready to challenge these horrendous wastes of taxpayer dollars when they return.

Trump now wants to spend $1.8 billion of your money on a slush fund for his friends and allies, including people who stormed the Capitol and assaulted law enforcement. While Americans are struggling to afford groceries and gas, Trump is handing out taxpayer money to reward loyalty instead of helping working people.

NYC is a city of immigrants, by immigrants, and for immigrants. Always has been, always will be –– regardless of who is in the Oval Office. Donald Trump’s immigration dragnet and terrorization of families is unacceptable and straight up un-American. I will never stop fighting for our immigrant communities.

As Americans struggle with rising costs, the Trump family is getting richer. Jared Kushner continues to rake in millions of dollars from Gulf states, all while representing this Administration in negotiations in the Middle East. This is major corruption, and we WILL investigate.

If this administration truly cared about accountability, they would release the full Epstein files – without illegal redactions and without excuses. Instead, Acting AG Todd Blanche wants the public to move on.   The only path to accountability is full transparency.

Have you or a loved one been affected by Trump's policies? Paying more for gas because of his war against Iran? Well, under this President, you're entitled to exactly nothing. UNLESS you stormed the Capitol, then you may get a payout from his NEW $1.8 BILLION MAGA slush fund.

Remember when the Supreme Court ruled against Trump’s tariffs? Well, now that money is being refunded, and it needs to be passed onto consumers — not used to pad profits for big corporations. It’s time the American people get some relief.

Barney Frank was one of a kind. For more than three decades in Congress, he fought tirelessly for the people of Massachusetts, helped make housing more affordable, stood up for the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans, and helped pass one of the most sweeping financial reforms in history designed to protect consumers and prevent another financial crisis. Barney’s passion and wit were second to none, and our thoughts are with his family today.
