Congratulations to Israel 🇮🇱 Minister of Communication @shlomo_karhi for shutting down Al Jazeera channel in Israel. Every Western country should shut down this dangerous “news” network that is the mouthpiece of all terrorist organizations. _

@WascUrito By contrast you appear to admire Israel's barbaric slaughter of 30,000 Palestinians and its attempt to genocide them out of existence.

You admire their vandalism, ripping up benches, using them as barricades to stop people from viewing our number one national treasure? You should be ashamed of yourselves and you are absolutely not the sort of people who should be teaching young adults.
Academics for Palestine@AcaforPalestine

Academics for Palestine statement in support of TCD student encampment Students around the world are justifiably seeking to hold academic institutions to account for their silence & complicity with the ongoing genocide in Gaza. We admire their courage and support their demands.

Referring to migrants as animals is sinister. Calling people who want to work for a better life welfare spongers is sinister. Declaring that migrants are prone to rape or violence is extremely sinister. Do you get it now?

cy of an ev battery and how much will it cost to replace it. Therefore what is the resale value of an ev vehicle. If these questions can't be answered people will be wary. And it's no use just ignoring the questions.

@SDRafterBL @SocDems @HollyCairnsTD Repeat the lie often enough then perhaps someone will begin to believe. Ms Degani was not deselected because she is Israeli/Jewish, as you claim, but because she opposes Soc Dem policy of opposing Israeli genocide in Gaza. How can you speak for a party if you disagree with it?

This news report, if true, is simply extraordinary. A political party distances itself from a candidate because they are Israeli/Jewish. Looking forward to seeing a statement on this report from @SocDems @HollyCairnsTD

@WascUrito @SocDems @HollyCairnsTD This is gibberish. The Soc Dems as a party oppose Israel's genocide in Gaza. Whatever the merits of Ms Degani, if she opposes party policy, how can she stand for the party whose policy she opposes?

@barrykenny The very opposite of what you say is true. It is the EU which is trying to prevent Georgia being a peaceful independent country.

This. Perfectly articulates the infantile politics of Daly, Wallace etc They don’t want Ukraine & Georgia choosing a future for themselves. They despise them for not choosing the fantasy THEY want. (Not that they’d ever live that way themselves). Sack the #MEPsForMoscow on 7/6.
Anastasiya Paraskevova@UkrainianAna

Seeing all the protests in their full glory reminded of Maidan Revolution days. Go Georgians! But it made me think about all of you, Western lefty "revolution now" types. When I was younger and naive, I couldn't understand why lefties who wouldn't shut up about revolutionary action, rising up, united proletariat and all sorts of Marxist dribble didn't stand behind Maidan Revolution. They should have been salivating over it. Millions of participants! The biggest revolution in decades, confrontation with corrupt capitalist oligarchs powered by imperialist power that opressed the people of Ukraine. Standing up in unity against special forces, arm of the government. I thought... This is literally it! The very thing they had wet dreams about. Now that I am older and smarter I, obviously, know that most of them don't give a single fuck about the will of the people when that will does not corelate with their idiotic ideals. If your revolution is favoring the West and European Union, then it's not a revolution at all. It's an America-sponsored coup against the legitimate lawful government and millions of people are just sheep or were paid off 🙃 If we don't like your aesthetics cause they don't stink of communism, well, too bad buddy, it ain't organizing, it ain't a revolutionary action. Instead of learning about how the hell millions of people were so determined, unified and effective (cause our revolution actually won, achieved it's goal, so cry harder), you all smeared us with shit and sided with a fucking fascist mafia state. Of course, now, same people don't stand behind Georgians and smear them. But it's more than just all of us trying to escape the empires and dictators you simp for. It's also the very same unity and effectiveness, I thought should make you all thrilled to see, that turns you off. It ruins your aesthetics of being the unique snowflakes that "oppose" the majority of libs and fascists, it's not your "I am not like other girls" vibe. Because you detest the majority. You think yourself smarter, better and above all those plebs who have not even read theory, imagine not reading theory! Above all else, you people are comfortable right where you are, dreaming about splendid demise of the societies you despise and talking, talking, talking... With other sheltered little assholes in a comfort of doing nothing, losing nothing and not spilling a drop of blood or sweat for the things you supposedly believe in. It's a game. It's a role play. It's a farce. May you all remain as useless, toxic, spiteful, snooty and delusional weirdos in peace and safety of your privileged lives. I just hope the dreaded libs, actually marginalized people with plenty to lose and all the people who actually care for their countries will do their thing of bettering their neighborhoods, cities, countries and the world one step at a time. And that we will have more of them and less of you in the future.

So? Public opinion also overwhelmingly backs the death penalty for acts of terrorism. Legalising euthanasia inevitably sends the signal to the elderly, sick and disabled that they're a burden on society. theguardian.com/society/2024/a…

@robggill Simple. Neutrality means not taking active sides in any military dispute between other nations, including between permanent members of the Un Security Council. Without the triple lock we cease to be neutral and get lined up on the side of Britain and America.

Would love the neutrality crowd to explain how allowing 5 Nuclear (and imperial) powers a Veto over the deployment of Irish Troops protects Irish sovereignty or neutrality? They have never explained.
RoyK@roy_kinsella

Government has not approved any new mission since 2014 “It has become so difficult to even agree or renew a🇺🇳peacekeeping mandate,” “increased use or threat of the use of the veto by permanent members of🇺🇳SC has directly impacted🇮🇪role in *peacekeeping” irishtimes.com/politics/oirea…
