Swiping to wake up before hitting the incline this morning and just saw "Vasectomy 2023 ✅️" on an otherwise normal profile. I am so drained from this weirdness man. And somehow the date and check mark make it worse??

@Noahpinion We felt the same way in the 80s to go back to the 50s (same 30 year difference)....thats why Back to the Future hit such a nerve.

My view is that although most technology has improved the world since 2009 or so, the negative impact of smartphone-enabled social media on American society has been so huge that it probably makes sense to want to return to before Steve Jobs announced the iPhone.

@TheStrongDad My father was struggling with debt and committed suicide 13 years ago. In his depressed/mentally ill mind, he thought he was doing the right thing by leaving us. Didn’t feel worthy of love and wanted us to have his life insurance. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Imagine being a single father struggling with crippling debt and deciding to leave your children on this earth ALONE. The absolute selfishness.
