Haha, I wish I could join the event in Vancouver! Unfortunately I can’t make it this round 😔
But hey, I’m actually an aspiring Bitcoin educator myself, so if you ever need extra hands for any future events (someone to hold doors, bring coffee, set up chairs), just hit me up. I’d love to contribute however I can!

@BranBTC Almost seems like(and I hate to say it) an attack on Bitcoin. All their reply’s to people not supporting BIP110 is just name calling and gotcha posts.

Whatever Saylor does has no impact on Bitcoin’s fundamentals.

@mars_quaking Why won’t the proponents of bip110 say what happens when it fails?
English

The BIP-110 crowd are performative cowards. They talk endlessly about "protecting Bitcoin as money" and fighting "spam," yet when real power is required. Hashrate, capital, forgoing revenue. they fold and beg for a temporary soft fork so someone else does the work for them.
You cannot eliminate spam in a permissionless, adversarial system. Block space is scarce by design and allocated through fee competition. Miners build the blocks and choose the templates of what gets included. Consensus sets the outer bounds of validity; inside them, miners decide. Relay policy is local and easily bypassed via direct submission.
If you actually hate non-monetary bloat, stop petitioning devs for brittle consensus bandaids (workarounds are already shipping). Acquire hashrate and refuse to mine it yourself.
BIP-110 is cope for people who want the aesthetic of cypherpunk resistance without paying the cost. They want Knots developers and signaling theater to enforce their preferences because they won't deploy ASICs, sign power contracts, or forgo marginal revenue like the ideological miners already filtering via pools and custom templates.
Even their own proposal admits policy is the primary tool and consensus changes are incomplete. Yet here they are pushing a time-limited rule change while real hashrate support sits under 1%. Bitcoin doesn't run on GitHub PRs or node adoption metrics. It runs on proof-of-work.
If you actually believe what you're saying: muster the electrical power and hardware that writes the ledger. Stop LARPing as defenders and filter at the source or admit you were never serious.

@_DannyKnowles @MrHodl @w_s_bitcoin Finished listening to this one and I am of the same thoughts as you Danny. But I am getting blasted by the maxis… le sigh
