@HonAdenDuale But why would government arrest an 83 year old man? A man with a good career, name and standing. We all know that he had no case to answer and yet was dehumanized through the arrest. This has hurt me. Why do this?

On behalf of the Ministry of Health, I convey deep sorrow following the passing of Dr. Job Obwaka at the age of 83, a veteran obstetrician and former Director at the Nairobi Hospital. Dr. Obwaka devoted his life to advancing medical practice in Kenya, leaving an invaluable contribution to the medical fraternity through his clinical excellence, leadership and mentorship of generations of practitioners. His work significantly strengthened standards of care and improved outcomes in maternal and reproductive health services across the country. We honour his distinguished service and commitment to humanity and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues and the wider medical community during this difficult time.

@KenyaPower_Care 2 days without electricity and you keep lying that you have assigned a team. Tell us the big issue that the "assigned team" is unable to resolve. I hope we get some competence within the institution. 14530634 complaint logged yesterday

@_KithureKindiki What is this chest thumping when you have to heal the country. As a government are you proud of the intolerance witnessed? What are you fomenting for 2027? Pride and arrogance is not leadership sir

I have learnt this morning with deep sorrow the passing of Dr Emmanuel Lyamulemye, the former ED of UCDA. Dr. Iyamulemye passed away this morning, 18th November 2025. Dr. Iyamulemye was a pillar of Uganda’s coffee sector and played a key leadership role in the design & implementation of Uganda's coffee road mad that brought about Uganda's coffee exponential growth. Under his leadership, Uganda strengthened its coffee quality standards, expanded farmer extension support systems, and positioned itself as one of the world’s most competitive coffee origins. He fought firmly in international coffee bodies/ foras demanding for the correct classification of African coffees ( Uganda's robusta & Ethiopia's Arabica). He was a bold , firm and intelligent officer . Together with other Colleagues, he worked hard in opening up Uganda's coffee new markets like China. On behalf of @MAAIF_Uganda & coffee stakeholder fraternity and on my own behlaf, i extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and friends. May his soul rest in eternal peace. @MAAIF_Uganda @PS_MAAIF @DrRwamiramaBK @FredBwino

@paulinenjoroge What do you expect when idiots are at the helm. They think of looting everything. They might loot even KRA itself or privatize it so that they have full access to public coffers

I have one question this morning, or maybe two: In countries where systems work, have you ever heard of an “empowerment programme” where Members of Parliament go around dishing out money, foodstuffs, and other goodies, all from resources that are unaccounted for? Isn’t the role of parliamentarians in such systems to represent the people, legislate, and provide oversight? Yet, here we are. In a country where the education system is collapsing due to lack of funds for capitation, and where the health sector is on its knees, we are witnessing money being thrown around in constituencies under the guise of “empowerment.” No transparency. No accountability. No explanation of where these resources are coming from, all while the state claims it is struggling to fund essential services. There is no form of empowerment greater than a functional education system, a responsive, accessible healthcare system and a conducive business environment. That is what the wananchi need. That is what they deserve. Not these sideshows. Not handouts that offer no structured or sustainable solutions. Real empowerment is systemic, not seasonal. It is about institutions, not optics!

Ok good people, am sitting here wondering what Kenyans really want? You don’t want the President to borrow any more money (I get it and prefer he doesn’t too) but when we have willing investors for PPP’s then you are all up in arms? Then you also don’t want him to raise money internally - Finance Bill! But Yet you want big things done!! When he comes to Nakuru County we want the dualling of the Rironi - Mau Summit Road, we want the Itaare dam completed, we want the Lanet Airport completed, we want our poor road networks upgraded where is he supposed to get this money from? He wasn’t a magician the last I checked 🤷🏽‍♀️ Wouldn’t it make more sense for PPP’s to handle some of these very expensive but very necessary infrastructural projects? Airports like JFK ($9.5B Terminal 1 & $4.2B Terminal 6), Heathrow (£14B expansion), and Istanbul ($12B new airport) have thrived under Public-Private Partnerships. As we face limits on debt and as local resource collection mechanisms face challenges, it’s time to embrace sustainable development solutions such as PPPs for Kenya's infrastructure growth. Let’s maximize local resource mobilization and public private partnerships for a prosperous future. 🇰🇪 And oh yeah we have become extremely negative as a people. Very cynical and dare I say almost unpatriotic. #InvestInKenya #Infrastructure #believeinKenya

My people ; In this picture I see 3 images I see the oppressors,I see the oppressed and I see a flag. This is a very powerful picture that If I were the oppressor, I would rethink again and again. The oppressed is ready to protect the flag using his own life. People are tired
