Absolutely everyone knew how good he was going to be. City & Arsenal were both in for him. It was just the fact that the only club willing to pay the backhanders, agents fees, and signing on bonus was PSG. It's literally that simple.

The quality of last season premier league is absolutely insane. A relegated club has a player Real Madrid are interested in and he’s leaving for €92M. Make no mistake, Arsenal won the hardest premier league title ever.

A 4th 100m forward in the past calendar year

Arteta spent £900m over 7 seasons having taken over a squad that he has to rebuild from the ground up and in the last 4 years he has finished 1st, 2nd, 2nd, and 2nd and and we were minutes away from a Champions league victory too. Yet he gets criticized but no one is talking about; Tottenham who spent over £1bn and have been in back to back relegation battles. Manchester United who has outspent Arteta in the same 7 years period but can't even compete for the title. Chelsea who spent £2 billion to become a mid table team. Manchester City spent £500m but ended up bottling the league having led with 5 games to go. Liverpool spent £500m only to become the worst defending champion after Leicester City. It is only a problem when Arsenal is involved, when it is Arsenal's rivals, it is totally fine.

What a season from The Arsenal. The Champions. And two finals. The boys can harness this pain and use it as fuel to go again. Heroic 120 mins on the biggest stage - and heartbreaking to lose to a doped club/ref - but what a superb season. We’ll be back in the CL final soon.
