@railroad7654 @refsupportuk It's called game management pal. If a team is overly agressive and/or abusive, one beheading can calm the game without the need for numerous cards, or reports to the local FA.

It looks like the ref blows when the ball is in the other half so defo not how it is described in the post. If time is up, time is up. Imagine if the other side said “time was up but the ref played on so they can score” It’s another example of a no win situation for the ref. There are many I back the ref here YBH

I like @OctopusEnergy and their customer service. But it annoys me that they just change my Direct Debit when their crappy data model decides. Usually it's off (like increasing it now as we go into summer when I'm already in credit each month!).

There's going to be a spate of fires at houses with plug-in solar panels in coming months and years, that experts will be "baffled" about.

@Bags_001 @JuliaHB1 @TalkTV Bravo. My cousin heats his pool with one because it was designed to accommodate it. Great. It doesn’t mean that they’re a practical option for most UK housing stock.

The acid test for anyone considering an air source heat pump is to reduce the flow rate of their existing gas boiler to 40 degrees (and put a jumper on) @JuliaHB1 @TalkTV

The government really haven't thought this through. This will have £10,000 to the cost of a house. That's £10k added to your mortgage. So you will end up paying around £20k (with interest) over 30 years for a heat pump that might last you 10 and solar that might last 20.
BBC Breakfast@BBCBreakfast

Developers will be required to install solar panels and heat pumps in all new homes in England as part of updated planning requirements published by the government. Energy minister Michael Shanks told #BBCBreakfast plug-in panels that homeowners can self-install on balconies will also be available in supermarkets in the coming months bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Amazing but true…. Even if all the electricity powering a heat pump was generated from gas, it’s so efficient it uses a lot less gas than a boiler! And an electric car powered by electricity from gas uses less fossil fuel energy than a petrol car… ELECTRIFICATION IS AMAZING and ofc once you have heat pumps and electric cars you are not stuck with fossil fuels, you can use any source you like for the electricity. Only 2/3 of people can charge an EV at home, but no one can with petrol. Solar panels will charge cars and power heat pumps. But gas boilers and petrol cars are totally dependent on the horribly unreliable global fossil fuel market. Ofc, the fossil lobbyists know this which is why they use their astonishing wealth and influence to make people hate EVs and heat pumps
Synio@syniodesign

@andyffff @OctopusEnergy @g__j @BBCNewsnight Heat pumps run on electricity? and gas is used to power them 🤣

@evmanuk @OctopusEnergy True. But we'd struggle to move household loads to off peak times. The EDF scheme let's us move really heavy loads (EV charging, washing machine, etc) to FREE electricity on a Sunday alongside a nice cheap tariff that's fixed until Feb-27. Saves us around £60 each month.

If this happens, my age group will have been robbed of 15 years of pension rights. That's about £185,000 in state pension, but it also applies to your private and work pensions, which go back in line with the state ones. It's the biggest theft from poorest to richest ever.
Alison Moyet@AlisonMoyet

I see the proposal that retirent age should be raised to 75. My question is - Where are these jobs going to come from? Given that the young and mid-lifers alike are struggling to find work.

@Fergie_CJ There's no legislation linking the two ages. Just because they've moved it previously doesn't mean they would going forward. It'd be a political disaster, so unlikely to happen.

What's the point of building up a huge pension pot if you can't get the promised benefits from it until 75, or anything at all (much reduced benefits) until 65?

Do people who are so against a wealth tax really consider unlimited wealth hoarding as an economic model that's working?
Dean@DeanFoley2

@sp4rkl3jumpr0p3 No country has made a wealth tax model that generates significant amounts of revenue. Greens propose no solution. Even the Green Party's projections, widely criticised as wildly optimistic, would only pay for a tiny percentage of pension spending. Got anything else?

Funny how some people insist Muslim women must be free to choose what they wear, yet mock a woman in Parliament for choosing her own outfit. Either you support women’s autonomy or you don’t. Freedom of choice isn’t conditional on whether you like the choice.
