Labour lost my vote today. It's not that immigration isn't a problem - it's complex and can't be solved by emulating Farage with xenophobic soundbites and making promises that no government will be able to keep. We already have two protofascist parties. We don't need a third.

Even more political space just opened up for the Lib Dems. Be interesting to see if they can fill it, or if they just walk on by like they normally do.

"An island of strangers". I am afraid that I had never expected to hear this from a Labour Prime Minister. Sad. I think that @Keir_Starmer is essentially a good person, but I no longer either understand him nor what he stands for. As an immigrant, I am done with Labour. Bye😢.

Unfortunately, I think that today might be the day when some of us who supported @Keir_Starmer and gave him the benefits of many doubts have given up. He is gifting Reform UK by pandering. It's sad. I think he is a good person, but doesn't really get politics...
