@fandompulse NO ONE ASKED FOR THIS. These ppl invaded the industry. NO ONE told them to join an industry that was just fine without them. These ppl are sick.

Sweet Baby Inc. CEO Kim Belair describes white male gamers as picky babies:
"I think in our industry and in so many creative industries — if you want to look at film, and, television and any art form — we start treating our core demographics as a fixed and static value something that does not want to change and something that is locked in place.
So despite the changing face of audiences, despite the changing face of conferences like this one, we still look at our core demographics and say, ‘Okay, they’re white, cis, hetero males.’ And we cater almost exclusively to them. And the problem is that we don’t just cater to them like, ‘You know, here’s something that we think you’ll enjoy.’ We cater to them like a picky baby.
We feed them the same thing that we know that they love and we keep on feeding it. We’re like, ‘Here you go. We know you love it. Eat this. Eat this. Eat this.’ So then when they get anything else they react as a picky baby would, which would be like, ‘Oh! No thank you. I do not want this.’ And we’ve actually done this so long that what we’re doing is creating an entire nation of picky babies and they make us scared to deviate from what we actually want to do. Just in case these picky babies don’t want to play our games."
Why do video game developers hire someone like this?

Valve veteran Chet Faliszek calls out Tim Sweeney and Epic's 1,000 layoffs while making "as much money as possible
"I worked my ass off at Valve, and I could retire today. I made more money than I'll ever make."
"You just make one game... how do you have any agency? How do you have any ownership when you're just gonna get laid off like this?"
"Hey Tim, Gabe's better at that than you."

@AI_EmeraldApple @Pirat_Nation He was just glazing Marathon a few weeks ago. Lmfao. Shrouds L moment in gaming. Crimson Desert could be new levels of Witcher 3 good. Minus the story.
English

@Pirat_Nation The premiere FPS streamer quits Marathon to play Crimson Desert.. LMAO!
Bungie must be crying right now and I love to see it.
English

@Pirat_Nation Its happening. I knew the day would come. Sooner than expected. But inevitable.
English

@Marble19841 You should tell your community to show up for Marathon then. Apparently PC did, and it didn't go so well.

@GlitchedDeals You Sony kids are naive and dumb for continuing to support this. Just buy a PC. or a portable PC. Your one and done machine for everything including gaming. Graphical fidelity is no longer worth it. As long as the game can run, you won't be missing out.
English

Sony is raising PS5 prices next week
A PS5 is about to cost $650
A PS5 Pro is about to cost $900
Last chance to get at current pricing before it’s too late

@AshWriting97 @CultureCrave Found the boomer. But in all seriousness. The whole idea behind subscriptions was the convenience factor and to put us in an ecosystem revolving door to be sustainable and help the company grow. But the problem is investors came in and started asking for more.

I know it’s a hot take, but streaming service fees were artificially low from the outset and costs are slowly normalising.
Not denying that these companies don’t gouge people, but paying $9.99 a month for endless content when DVDs are $9.99 per movie never made sense and wasn’t ever super sustainable.
A streamer that wants to make a healthy long term profit needs to find the right balance between charging what they actually need people to pay and having a media library worth paying for

@JayViperTV It will definitely stabilize at 20,000 on average. Its not gonna die right away. I think Sony will do layoffs before they kill the game outright.
English

I keep being told that Marathon is stable. Is this what stable looks like these days?
My advice is to enjoy your game, but don't spend additional money on it.
Clearly I'm not talking about the weekly reset. The weekly drops are concerning for a GaaS title that isn't coming anywhere near making its money back or even being able to pay for its current dev team size.
Something has to give, and no matter what happens, it'll be the players that paid for the game and are putting money in for passes and skins that feel it.
And no, console isn't making up for it. The primary audience is on PC.
The fact that influencer shills and access media aren't being honest with gamers is incredibly telling. In fact, they are generally running interference and defending the giant corporation. You know who you are.

@Pirat_Nation The legal costs were past down to the consumers and job cuts. I'll never buy a game off Epic Store.
English

Epic Games is laying off over 1,000 employees.
Tim Sweeney: "I'm sorry we're here again. The downturn in Fortnite engagement that started in 2025 means we're spending significantly more than we're making, and we have to make major cuts to keep the company funded."
This comes shortly after Epic raised V-Bucks prices
The company is also implementing over 500 million dollars in additional cost savings.

@Pirat_Nation Wait until a new alternative comes and shutters Micron. Billions of dollars. Ppl are always ready to innovate and TAKE OVER. Micron played a dangerous game and IT WILL LOSE.
