In 1983 we had "computing class" in school with networked BBC Micros. A boy sent a rude message to a girl at another computer, and the teacher told him off, stressing how words can still be hurtful via a computer. I wonder if this was one of the first cases of cyber-bullying?

Last week I hosted family for Thanksgiving. My 12-year-old nephew asked for the WiFi password. He wanted to play Roblox on his iPad. I looked at the device. Unmanaged. No antivirus. No encryption. I’m an IT Professional. I don't run an open network. So I didn’t give him the password. Instead, I spent 45 minutes provisioning a Guest VLAN. I set up a captive portal. I throttled the bandwidth down to 56kbps. Then I blocked all traffic on ports 80 and 443. He came back crying. He said it wouldn't load. My sister screamed at me to "just let him play." I told her that Zero Trust architecture doesn't care about bloodlines. We didn't have a "fun" Thanksgiving. But we had a secure perimeter. You’re welcome for the compliance.

@CanuckCreator Ditched windows years back, ever since more bloatware appeared. I tried Linux for a bit but found too many of my apps weren’t supported still (fusion 360 being main one). So went to macOS and haven’t looked back. IMO the Mac mini is the best machine on the market right now

Tempted to ditch windows on my desktop and give linux a whirl for a bit. I know nvidia support was lacking for awhile but is much improved as of late and with steam/proton games shouldnt be an issue Im pretty sure Davinci Resolve works fine too Thoughts? (probably linux mint btw)

@MoJee3d I’m fairly new to 3D printing, 14months in. I always tell people who want to 3D print, if you want to learn how to print and how the printer works buy a Prusa , if you want to just want to print buy a Bambu

Do Bambu's result in inept people printers? So many people reach out to me about print quality issues, who have only ever owned Bambu's, and have no clue how to diagnose a print quality issue or even understand me when I try to assist. They just click n' print.
