@RichardPBailey_ I'd look at AI to replace jobs where it makes sense. Not sure how many employees the city has but I'm guessing some of these are replaceable with AI without having to cut services the city should be providing.

@RichardPBailey_ I'd seriously look into implementing AI in government to permanently eliminate jobs thus reducing obligations. And in terms of customer service, well-implemented AI could improve service at the same time. Bring in robots where it makes sense.

The City of San Diego spends $0.24 of every $1.00 tax dollar to fund pension obligations. This is unsustainable and comes at the expense of maintaining basic infrastructure.

The dominoes are falling... There is no glee in predicting San Diego's inevitable bankruptcy. I'm just reading the financials and looking at everything from a 30,000' view. The writing is on the wall. I'm sure the local media will take all of the news credit when it does happen. Then they'll wax intellectual about how "no one could have predicted it and new reforms will fix everything". 🙄 We need to clean house in government and stop listening to MSM playing catch-up and cover-up.
