This day is not about saying “Happy Memorial Day”; that is reserved for Veterans Day, where we express gratitude to those who have served, and for Armed Forces Day, where we thank all those currently serving. So while enjoying your BBQ and time with your families, take a moment to reflect on the fact that those moments were made possible by these great warriors.

Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 5:05 PM EST, as we delve into the recent case of NYPD Chief Richie Taylor. He pleaded guilty to Department charges related to time theft. As a consequence, Chief Taylor was ordered to repay approximately $20,000 and forfeit 60 vacation days. Despite these penalties, he was transferred and placed on dismissal probation, allowing him to retain his job and discretionary rank. We will examine whether this punishment was fair or if it was an instance of “white shirt” favoritism. Additionally, we will consider how members who were not favored by the upper echelons would have been disciplined. Lastly, we will determine if this act constituted a criminal offense. In other words the inexperienced DEI “Chief” Ritchie Taylor admitted to: •Falsifying Business Records •Offering False Instruments for Filing •Scheme to Commit Fraud •Grand Larceny And the @BrooklynDA’s office passed on criminal prosecution in lieu of a $20k restitution payment, a transfer and 60 vacation days penalty ? Where was this leniency with other members of the NYPD who committed similar acts? Accountability in NYC & the NYPD only applies to some.

First responders have demanding jobs, and people who interfere with them only make those jobs harder. That’s why I support establishing a 15-foot buffer zone that would penalize people who interfere with or disrupt first responders while they are doing their jobs.

NYC Government allows planned riots to occur as they refuse to staff the riot police (NYPD Strategic Response Group) and counterterrorism resources at mass gatherings (soft targets). The NYPD’s current protest posture is reckless and extremely dangerous.
