As of Dec 2025, India has sold close to 450K e4W. We have 18 EVs per public CCS2 or Type2 connector. Or 21.7 EVs per public CCS2 fast charger. This is over and above atleast 1 charger per EV that is sold with the car.

@ManjulPaul You have gotten multiple things wrong in this article: 1. Hybrids are not outselling EVs. Their marketshare has been stagnant for more than a year. Vahan shows a higher number because mild hybrids are being considered as hybrids when they are not as per the govt. They cannot travel even 10 meters on electric power. @ferrarirules86 Can you share the latest on this? 2. Chargers per 1000 EVs is a misleading metric because the govt tracking on chargers is primarily focused on cars whereas EVs includes 2Ws, 3Ws. Our charger to car ratio is actually quite decent and rapidly improving. @ExpWithEVs can you share the latest?

Today's TOI reports amazing incentives for #EV users! GROUND REALITY IS DIFFERENT: My wife, among India's first Tesla owners, faced a nightmare on her Jaipur trip (Mar 12-15). Apps like PlugShare/others showed highway chargers—all non-functional. Todanagar: Dead on arrival. Return stops: Volttic (Pinan Jodhpura), IOCL & Jio BP Pulse (Ferozpur), Statiq, Charge Zone, Plug share —nothing worked! Apps misled, chargers failed 😡 Money paid lies unused in these wallets!! We planned a full family switch to EVs. Needs total rethink. Is this how we push electric mobility? Ground realities crush progressive macro policies. Inexcusable for IOCL, JioBP, and others Who fixes this mess? @Tesla @reliancejio @IndianOilcl Without reliable infra, #EV adoption will remain a dream @nitin_gadkari @PiyushGoyal

@baxiabhishek Annual toll pass saves a lot of money on such trips (only for NH though, not SH). For one off trips, yeah it is a sunk investment.

125+540+60+55+70+65+80+70+55 Drove from Gurgaon to Jodhpur today and paid a total of ₹1,120 as toll charges. Quite insane, and many of them were quite close to the other breaking speed and momentum of a long drive.

@MGMotorIn @MGSupportIndia My windsor ev pro has run of 13000kms, Received call for 2nd service, when asked costing, they told approx Rs.4000/-, I asked what is to be done, they said ac filter change, brakes cleaning, washing basic greasing and Rs.3000 for only labour charge.

Your team says: 2–3 MONTHS to return my car. No loaner. No timeline. No accountability. This is a KNOWN, RECURRING issue affecting thousands of Tata EV owners & you've had years to fix it. Yet here we are. I chose EV to escape fuel uncertainty. Instead I'm stranded by @TataMotors' inaction on a warranted vehicle. Update : The SC outright refused to cooperate, continued to search for CCTV footage for the work that they never did. Do not, I repeat, do not trust any @MGMotorIn service centre. Pathetic service. MG HQ has also washed off their hands of this situation and left it to the lying SC, who has no incentive to fix the issue. MG HQ refused to proactively deal with the situation, I had to escalate it multiple times before letting them know that I am not someone who they can simply walk over.

Got my @MGMotorIn ZS EV serviced in New Delhi Okhla center. The SC has outright lied about checking car’s suspension and other car issues still existing after ‘service’ was done. SC refuses to share any CCTV footage, but wants complete payment before car handover. What should a customer do? Where can they go and take action against this SC? The SC was taken in loop with the HQ. All HQ could do - someone will call you with a resolution. Have waited enough and there’s no resolution by the SC or HQ. The Service Centers for EVs have been so reckless and careless, I’m tired of complaining.

This just keeps getting better. They shared CCTV footage of the SC. The car has been just shuffled around in the SC and they claim that 'service' was done. Abolish service requirements for EVs. Customers are being fooled and looted by service centres.
