'Automotive influencer warns people against buying EVs. His grouse lies with charging ports' Automotive journalist Kushan Mitra @kushanmitra writes ThePrint #Dashboard theprint.in/opinion/dashbo…

Mahindra just overtook Tata in EV revenue. First time ever. Mahindra — ₹15,089 cr Tata — ₹14,995 cr Gap: ₹94 crore. But here's the catch — Tata still sells MORE units. Mahindra wins on revenue. Tata wins on volume. Two different games. Both winning. FY27 is going to be very interesting. 👀 #EVIndia #EV #EVGyan #Mahindra #TataMotors

Mumbai, Maharashtra | On the inauguration of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway 'Missing Link' project, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis says, "This project will not only reduce the distance between Mumbai and Pune but also will ensure that there is no traffic jam."

Again. Knowing a large number of these chargers personally. These are 3kw and 7kw chargers at the max and absolutely useless for a car which will need to stay there for hrs for any useful charging. They are occupied by auto rikshaws, goods carriers and scooters mostly like they should be. I live inside this map and there are twenty five dots around me. But there are only 4 high speed DC charger locations ( 3 out of them functional at any time ) in that. Public EV charging ecosystem for cars is NOT enough or even barely there to start being appealing to the guy who does not have home charging. I have home charging. I obviously love the EV life.

FYI, Map of Public EV chargers in Delhi. If you own an EV, you know that 99% of the time, charging happens at home, but still, we see EVCIs deployed across Delhi in the majority places ev.delhi.gov.in/charging_stati…

Maruti Suzuki eVitara 61kWh Charging Curve 🔋 Peak : 68.3kW @ 55% ⚡ Peak of 1.12c rate, not impressive for a pack of this size, but atleast it holds good till almost middle. Time details ⏰ : 10-80% in about 41min 10-60% in 28min 10-90% in 53min 4 - 100% in 80min Key Values : 65.5kW @ 11% 66kW @ 20% 67kW @ 33% 68kW @ 45% 68.3kW @ 55% 📈 61.5kW @ 60% 55.7kW @ 62% 54kW @ 74% 53.2kW @ 81% 30.4kW @ 86% 28.9kW @ 91% 14.2kW @ 96% 5kW @ 99% Increases linearly slowly till 55%, starts dropping after that. Makes a sudden major drop after 81%. This vehicle takes about max 161A. So any charger's cable aren't a problem for this vehicle. Special thanks to @Xroaders_001 for doing this test for us ⚡

I've deleted my previous post about the Tata Ira issues because I've been promised that they'll fix it. I don't believe them, but still giving another chance. @Vivekvivi @Tataev - please be serious about the issues of existing owners.

Time to get a new car. Not a car guy, more into bikes. Considering an electric SUV, in Mumbai, thoughts? experiences? practical?
