This evening, gunshots were fired at Queen's Way as police stormed drainage channels, dismantled gang hideouts, and arrested over 100 individuals during a two-day operation by the Uganda Police Force, alongside its sister security agencies. The operation, which began on Easter Monday, led to the arrest of suspects involved in the Clock Tower phone and bag snatching incidents. The suspects were found in possession of knives, pangas, and narcotic substances. #NTVNews 📸 @lbrahim_kavuma

This is not just bad politics. It is bad manners! Only the head of the family has the final word on who can access which room in the home. He doesn’t need lectures from a recently adopted child! Above all, when you insult your father’s visitors you’ve insulted your father.

Vecolate an emerging plant based chocolate brand, also highlighted the country’s expanding agro-processing capabilities. Vecolate is owned by a Ugandan Irish lady Chocolatier and its reach is not just in the United Kingdom but across the EU. FrePro’s packaged beans, groundnuts and fresh produce, alongside Waribe millet, dried mushrooms and other dried food products. Equally compelling was the inspiring enterprise of the Grandmothers of Luwero District under Grandma’s Garden, whose story speaks to community resilience and inclusive growth. Together, these exhibitors illustrated Uganda’s commitment to quality, innovation and competitive participation in international markets. @mtic_uganda @UgandaMFA #IFE2026

Good morning Uganda and #HappyNewMonth! Lately, @GITA_Africa defines everything I do in my life. Every decision I take and every penny I spend. I have to think to myself..."Does this really contribute to GITA-AFRICA? Am I a representation of the values I emphasize in the organization?" Etc etc... I see my life changing and direction aligning. Am grateful but mostly, am burning out😂. But it's okay. It's worth it! 📸 @prlsofuganda

I had the opportunity to engage with students of @Kawempe_Muslim, where I facilitated a session of self-discovery, skills development, and strategic career planning. The session focused on helping students understand their strengths, explore emerging opportunities, and make informed decisions about their academic and professional pathways. Equipping young people with the knowledge and skills to navigate their future remains central to shaping a more prepared and competitive generation.@OfficialMubs

Today’s farm tour at @emburara unfolded like a gentle introduction to a different rhythm of life. One rooted in heritage, luxury, and the quiet poetry of the land. Set within a refined agro-tourism experience, the lodge offers more than comfort, it invites you to understand the very essence of Ankole. But before anything else, do you even know what Emburara means? Emburara is a special type of grass, lush, resilient, and deeply nourishing. Carefully fed to cattle for their health and vitality. It is life-giving in more ways than one, extending beyond the pasture into homes. Where it is used for thatching roofs and crafting mats alongside animal skins. In that single name, Emburara, lies a story of sustenance, resourcefulness, and a people who have mastered the art of living in harmony with nature. #ExploreAnkole

A highlight for many is the demonstration of beverage production, including the making of cold brew coffee. Through a carefully controlled process, coffee is mixed with water and brewed over several hours to extract deep flavors. It is then blended with additional ingredients, homogenized for consistency, pasteurized for safety, and packaged using automated systems. Watching this transformation from raw bean to ready-to-drink product, offers a powerful appreciation of the craftsmanship and technology behind every sip. #ExploreAnkole

The journey continues into roasting, where science meets sensory art. Coffee is roasted at varying levels, light, medium, and dark. Each unlocking distinct characteristics. Light roasts tend to be more acidic and fruity, medium roasts offer balance, while dark roasts deliver bold, smoky flavors. Visitors witness the roasting process firsthand, from the heated drum to the cooling chamber, understanding how timing and temperature influence the final taste. Beyond roasting, the park also showcases modern innovations like instant coffee production through spray-drying and freeze-drying technologies that further expand coffee’s global reach.
