@lee1892Johnson Tried a few times over the last 24 hrs to write and express the magnitude of what he meant/ the influence he had. All you had to do was listen to him speak and you’d feel on top of the world, no matter the circumstances. He’ll be so sorely missed, but my god, forever celebrated.

I think I've finally cracked today.
Still in a depression about KK and now we've apparently now got Chelsea trying to sign Bruno, along with Arsenal.
I'm almost at the point of past caring.
The squad is still so weak and our Owners are absent.
We're in dire straits.

Arsenal plan to bid again for Bruno Guimarães, as reported this morning. Although Newcastle deny direct formal talks to date, #AFC are accelerating their interest. Last offer via intermediaries was as high £65m. Arsenal expected to go north of £70m, and broad terms are already in place with Guimarães. Newcastle sources insist they want to keep Guimarães. One other Premier League club has made a recent enquiry as well on the player side.🇧🇷

@NufcMiddlesex If the loan has conditions that enable a permanent transfer, then the rule isn't permitted. Ie Harvey Elliott last season. A standard loan with an obligation would trigger it, though.

Without even searching anything up I’ll give you some off the top of my head 👍 - Less judgemental people who just get on with their day, career opportunities, bigger creative and media industry, more networking opportunities, better public transport, more international connections, more restaraunts and variety of nightlife, more events every week, new types of people to meet, easier access to major airports and therefore more countries to visit easier & cheaper, more museums and cultural attractions, MUCH MORE chances to meet ambitious people, stronger opportunities for influencers and content creators, more luxury experiences, more neighbourhoods with completely different lifestyles, easier access to brands and agencies, a hell of a lot more spontaneous things to do, much more of an anonymous life and independence, more potential for personal growth.

So am I the only one clocking that it only seems to be the Tyneside focused journalists, Lee Ryder and Luke Edwards primarily, that are currently claiming Newcastle hierarchy have told them there’s no truth in them opening direct talks with Arsenal? Any other journalist that has reported on the story in the last half an hour has said the complete opposite.

@Im_RobM I don’t disagree, but at the same time, it’s rare anyone does that these days. If the club don’t want to sell him, and he’s happy to stay, then that’s all should be required. Unfortunately, noise and interest is money, forfeit that and leverage for increased wages here also goes.

I have a filter I look at every once in a while - what I call the Power Winger Index.
Its a composite score of:
- 50% aerial duels won 90
- 25% dribble rate vs. team median
- 25% long pass rec rate vs. team median
Big, direct wingers.
Hoffenheim just sold the no. 1 u21 winger in T9 leagues in this index, and is heavily linked to no. 3 and no. 4.
Marcus Thuram was 1st for this index in 2018, Antoine Semenyo 1st in 2020 at Bristol City, Dango Ouattara 4th in 2021 at Lorient and then 1st in 2022.
Even Bryan Mbeumo was 9th before his move to Brentford.
Some of the most intelligent recruitment teams target these wingers pre-breakout.
