@NianticHelp I did a Landorus raid today and the app crashed immediately after completing the raid, as it has crashed multiple times since the latest app update. Because of this I was not able to encounter the raid boss and wasted a remote raid pass. Please help!

@PokemonGOHubNet I appreciate you posting an explanation. However, I find it highly concerning and alarming that Niantic thinks it’s acceptable, and within their right, to censor independent coverage of pertinent issues related to the game.

We recently took down our article and tweet on the GBL exploit. We were asked (not forced) by Niantic to take it down, as the fix was already being worked on, and the article was drawing attention to the exploit in the wild. We agreed that this is the best course of action, and took the article down. We apologise to our readers for taking it down without much context, but it was a heated moment, followed by a knee jerk reaction to take it down. In hind sight, maybe this tweet should have been shared after that removal, but we honestly needed a breather. We are always trying to do our best in reporting, and raising awareness about in-game issues, but some situations are complex and there is no right way to approach them. We did what we thought is the right thing to do, and we apologise for any inconvenience that this course of action created for our readers. And to answer the obvious question up front: no, Niantic cannot take down articles that they do not like. We make our own editorial decisions, and in this instance, we agreed with the request.

@zyonik Yes, but as with most things I’m sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Not all losses can be blamed on cheaters but at the same time not all losses can be blamed on merely skills issues or bad luck. We should not minimize the potential impact of cheaters.

I'm just going to keep it real. Some of y'all need to face the fact that you - statistically - never faced anyone cheating - let alone 'all the time'. @NianticHelp I think some personnel changes at the leadership level are in order at Niantic.

Some Trainers may have experienced an increase to the current interaction radius. This was the unintended effect of a bug fix intended to improve the Pokémon encounter experience when your device is experiencing GPS drift. While we’re reverting this change, we will take your feedback into consideration as we look to optimize the Pokémon encounter experience in the future.

@termite200 @RW84 @MYSTIC7 Not really because it takes MUCH less time to remote raid. I do both types of raids and a remote raid takes me about 10 minutes whereas an in person raid takes about 45 minutes start to finish (finding a raid, walking to raid, getting others in lobby, battling, walking back).

@MYSTIC7 This is basically a nothing burger. Let’s see how many people can do 40+ in person raids to max a legendary. Ain’t happening unless they literally spend all day driving from raid to raid, or cheat.

@DanOttawaPOGO @MYSTIC7 IMO it makes little difference. Let’s say you now average 7 XL per raid. You would still need to do more than 40 in person raids to get enough. How many people can possibly do that many?
