🥂….TO A NEW FOOTBALL ERA IN ZIMBABWE 🇿🇼 Barely weeks into his tenure, the recently elected ZIFA President NQOBILE MAGWIZI has hit the ground RUNNING with the full authority and clarity of a SEASONED administrator. Under his leadership, we have already witnessed the SUCCESSFUL reconstitution of the ZIFA Secretariat, the REACTIVATION of critical governance systems and the professional REALIGNMENT of all key operational units within the Association. For the first time in MANY years, Zimbabwe’s football mother body is FUNCTIONING under an ORGANIZED and TRANSPARENT administrative structure. That alone is a game changer, thanks to President Magwizi’s swift action to restore football integrity, which must be COMMENDED !!! Even in the face of Zimbabwe’s SHORT-LIVED AFCON appearance, ZIFA ensured that the Warriors are FULLY FUNDED and adequately catered for throughout their campaign. Despite the early exit, the Warriors played WHOLEHEARTEDLY and there were NO COMPLAINTS about their welfare or conditions, a RARE occurrence in our footballing history. This silent achievement is a testament to a new culture of FOOTBALL GOVERNANCE that is results-oriented and player-centered. In appreciation of your excellent service I am pleased to say a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to you President MAGWIZI. Please go & see Victor at EXQUISITE car dealership and collect your BRAND NEW 2026 RANGE ROVER SPORT, D350 Autobiography Limited Edition, 250 000 USD has been PAIN IN FULL and your beautiful car is ready for COLLECTION !! Furthermore, following the Warriors’ early AFCON EXIT, I had pledged to give them US$250,000 in CASH to uplift their morale. However, upon learning of a PETITION submitted to FIFA alleging match fixing in the final game against South Africa, I felt it prudent to temporarily withhold disbursement pending the results of the formal enquiry. As someone who respects the integrity of sport and the authority of FIFA, I now kindly request that this US$250,000 be instead placed under your custody Mr. President, for SAFEKEEPING and to be held in TRUST. You can only disburse the funds ro them ONLY once FIFA or any relevant authority has issued a definitive ruling on the allegations. Regardless of the outcome, the funds shall remain earmarked EXCLUSIVELY for football development purposes. We take pride in being part of this new chapter where FOOTBALL IS CLEAN, ACCOUNTABLE, and a true symbol of NATIONAL UNITY. Well done President Magwizi !!! #Game_Changer #Tambai_Bhora_Vakomana⚽️ # Go-Warriors-Go 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼

The ongoing discourse around EXTENDING the President's Tenure to realize Vision 2030 is not about subverting the Constitution as some detractors falsely claim, but about intelligently utilizing its flexible provisions to serve the greater good. Section 91(2) of the 2013 Constitution enshrines the two-term limit for the officeholder a safeguard against indefinite rule that must remain inviolate. However, Section 95(2)(b) defines the length of each presidential term as five years, and this duration is not entrenched in the same rigid way. As clarified by precedents, including the Constitutional Court's ruling in cases distinguishing term limits from term length, Parliament can amend the term duration (e.g., to seven years) via a two-thirds majority in both Houses, without triggering the dual-referendum requirement reserved strictly for changes that "extend the Presidential term limit" under Section 328(7). Such an adjustment would lawfully recalibrate the current term, allowing completion of transformative national projects without violating the sacred two-term bar. President Mnangagwa has demonstrated steadfast leadership in stabilizing the economy post-hyperinflation chaos, advancing infrastructure under Vision 2030, pursuing international re-engagement, and fostering unity in a historically divided polity. Abrupt electoral disruption in 2028 risks derailing these gains at a critical juncture when momentum is building toward sustainable development, Monetary Sovereignty, and Poverty reduction. Extending the current term provides continuity for flagship initiatives in Agriculture, Mining Beneficiation, Energy Security, and devolution priorities that transcend partisan politics and demand uninterrupted stewardship. This is not personal ambition but pragmatic statecraft. Nations like Guinea (adopting seven-year terms in 2025) and Ireland (long maintaining seven-year presidencies within two-term caps) illustrate that flexible term lengths can enhance governance stability without authoritarian drift. ZANU-PF's Resolution Number One, reaffirmed at the Mutare conference, reflects broad consensus within the Revolutionary Party that the President's record merits the time needed to consolidate progress for posterity. To those alarmists peddling narratives of constitutional mutilation the safeguards remain robust. The two-term limit endures untouched; no THIRD TERM is contemplated. The people’s voice, through parliamentary representation, can endorse this measured adjustment. Let us prioritize national development over contrived controversies.I therefore endorse this constitutional pathway to Extend President Mnangagwa's current Term, confident it serves Zimbabwe's sovereignty, stability, and Vision 2030

President Mnangagwa's @edmnangagwa open door policy is indeed one of his most commendable qualities. It shows his commitment to listening to the people and fostering a sense of inclusivity and collaboration. By making himself accessible to everyone, he encourages citizens to engage in dialogue and contribute to the country's development. This approach not only helps to build trust between the government and the public but also promotes a culture of transparency and accountability. It's heartening to see a leader who values the input of his people and is willing to work together towards a common goal. @wicknellchivayo

📌 ZINARA has shown that tollgate money is being put to work. Between January and September 2025, it disbursed ZiG6,278 billion (US$232.5m) for road maintenance, covering 38,000 km over a third of Zimbabwe’s network. 📌 Funds exceeded budget targets, supported both urban and rural councils, fuel allocations, equipment purchases, and safety programmes, while e-tag tolling modernised revenue collection. The message is clear: toll fees are transparently invested in roads, safety, and modern systems that benefit citizens and the economy. @zanupf_patriots @zanupfbyoinfo @ZANUPF_Official @zanupfbyoarea1 @ChinamasaPA @OpenParlyZw

It is both curious and disingenuous that some within the ruling party have suddenly found their voices to question President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s @edmnangagwa continued leadership, when for 37 uninterrupted years, the same voices were conspicuously silent as Former President Robert Mugabe extended his tenure without internal resistance.President Mnangagwa is not asking for 37 years. He is not seeking to rewrite the Constitution or to rule in perpetuity. He is merely requesting two additional years two years to consolidate the gains of the Second Republic, to complete critical national projects, and to ensure that the legacy of Vision 2030 is not left half-built. To demand that he must step down now, in the middle of a transformative agenda, is not only premature it is politically unwise and historically inconsistent. Where was this urgency when the nation was under the same leadership for nearly four decades? Why is it now, when the country is stabilizing and infrastructure is visibly rising from the ground, that some seek to pull the plug?Leadership must be judged not by the length of tenure alone, but by the substance of delivery. If President Mnangagwa is delivering on roads, on energy, on agriculture, on re-engagement then the national interest demands continuity, not disruption. Zimbabwe cannot afford to derail itself over internal factionalism masquerading as principle.

Deng Xiaoping, E.D. Mnangagwa, @edmnangagwa and the Power of Late-Blooming Leadership.Of the many books I’ve read this year, one that stands out both for its historical depth and contemporary resonance is a biography of Deng Xiaoping. It is, without question, one of the most illuminating political texts I’ve encountered in recent years. Deng, in my considered view, is the most underrated political figure of the 20th century. His legacy is not only monumental in scale but also profoundly instructive for understanding the dynamics of leadership, reform, and national transformation. Deng inherited a broken China battered by the ideological excesses of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, economically stagnant, and diplomatically isolated. Yet, through sheer consistency, strategic clarity, and an unshakable will, he catalyzed the greatest poverty alleviation project in human history, lifting over 800 million people out of destitution. He reintroduced the gaokao, laying the foundation for China’s modern education system and its globally competitive scientific and engineering prowess. And perhaps most radically, he reimagined socialism itself ushering in market reforms, launching the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and setting China on a path to becoming a global economic powerhouse. What is most striking, however, is that Deng did his most consequential work between the ages of 74 and 88. This, after being purged not once but twice. After being exiled. After being written off. He was not a towering figure barely 5’2”, not a charismatic orator, and certainly not a populist. But he was a master of timing, a strategist par excellence, and a man who understood that leadership is not about noise it is about results. In many ways, President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s trajectory echoes that of the Likes of Chairman Deng, President Mnangagwa emerged from the shadows of a dominant predecessor. Like Deng, he inherited a nation in economic disrepair, burdened by decades of mismanagement and international isolation. And like Deng, he has chosen pragmatism over populism, stability over spectacle, and reform over rhetoric. The parallels are not perfect no historical analogy ever is but they are instructive. Mnangagwa’s emphasis on infrastructure, re-engagement, and economic liberalisation mirrors Deng’s early reforms. His quiet but deliberate repositioning of Zimbabwe on the global stage, his push for industrialisation, and his commitment to Vision 2030 all reflect a long-term strategic outlook that is rare in our politics. Critics will scoff. They always do. But history is not written by cynics it is shaped by those who dare to see beyond the moment. Chairman Deng Xiaoping proved that age is no barrier to greatness. President Mnangagwa, now in his twilight years, may yet prove that Zimbabwe’s best days are not behind it but ahead. In Zimbabwe many people obsessed with youthful charisma and instant gratification, the stories of Chairman Deng and President Mnangagwa remind us that leadership is a marathon, not a sprint. And sometimes, the most profound Revolutions are led not by the loudest voices, but by the steadiest hands. @China_Amb_Zim @ChineseZimbabwe
