I was honored to take part in the unveiling of the “Vires, Artes, Mores” statues in the FSU Student Union. Cast from the original molds at our Florence Study Center, these striking figures reflect our deep commitment to international programs and the enduring values of Florida State University — strength, skill, and character. news.fsu.edu/news/universit…

A regular hangout spot for mid-1900s scientists in the Cavendish Laboratory (@DeptofPhysics), the Eagle pub is where James Watson and Francis Crick famously declared they had "discovered the secret of life" — more commonly known as DNA. The Eagle is also one of the latest stops for our @FloridaState Biology in London program students! While in Cambridge, a city just north of London, students visited iconic @Cambridge_Uni labs, including those of Watson and Crick as well as Frederick Sanger, who determined the structure of insulin, and Howard Florey, a key agent in penicillin's development. Students also toured CU's Pembroke College (@pembroke1347) and its chapel. bio.fsu.edu/london/ #FSUGlobal 📸 : Marie Charrel-Dennis

While venturing to one place, you may just find another! On their way to the Alexander Fleming Laboratory Museum (@medicalmuseums) — the birthplace of antibiotics — students in @FloridaState's Biology in London Program found the Wild Table of Love (@GillieandMarc), a public sculpture inviting onlookers to sit down with some of the world's most endangered animals. Students also visited the water pump famously identified by physician John Snow as a source of cholera in 1854. bio.fsu.edu/london/ #FSUGlobal 📸 : Marie Charrel-Dennis
