@Femalegirl7 i wrote elves in my homebrew setting to be slightly longer-lived, gracile members of the homo genus. the main thing that made them special was the fact that many fae creatures are based on myths and legends about them rather than them being fae creatures/descendants themselves

Twilight Princess came out 19 years ago, and ever since, it changed my brain chemistry.

@KungFuMan316 Something that really fucked me up was when I thought about this plot. It centers around a beloved AI, driven insane, goes rampant, then splinters off into various shards, one of which is evil, and the other is a younger version of itself.
