Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi: 🚨No ceasefire proposal has been made by Iran. 🚨The five-point plan allegedly proposed by Iran is media #speculation. 🚨The war will continue until the aggressor is punished and full compensation is paid to Iran.

🇸🇩 MSF reports 3,300 sexual violence victims treated in Darfur in under two years Médecins Sans Frontières said Tuesday it treated 3,396 survivors of sexual violence at facilities in Sudan’s North and South Darfur states between January 2024 and November 2025, identifying Rapid Support Forces fighters and allied militias as the primary responsible party for the widespread and systemic abuse. Women and girls accounted for 97% of victims, and one in five survivors in South Darfur were under 18, including 41 children under the age of five.

📢 We've released a new report on sexual violence in Darfur, Sudan.  Based on testimonies and medical data from our programmes, the report highlights clear patterns of systematic abuse and shows that armed men are responsible for most assaults. msf.org/msf-report-fin…

Britain, the country that’s currently providing arms and bases to carpet bomb Iranian cities, will begin a diplomatic effort with Iran to open up the Strait of Hormuz.
Alex Wickham@alexwickham

Exclusive: A coalition of US allies is preparing a diplomatic push to persuade Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz and weighing potential economic measures against Tehran if it keeps the waterway closed. UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper will host a virtual meeting of the group tomorrow, including nations from Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and Canada. The US is not due to attend. There are three tracks under consideration by the coalition: diplomatic, economic and military, according to people familiar with the matter. The focus of tomorrow’s meeting will be on the diplomatic track, coordinating efforts fronted by nations with channels into Tehran, the people said. Should that prove unsuccessful, the coalition would consider economic measures including targeting Iran’s oil and shipping industries, to be discussed tomorrow, they added. (Iran is already heavily sanctioned.) At a later date, the group could set conditions for potential military options if they were needed, the people said. They cautioned that these conversations were at an early stage and would not be the focus of Thursday’s meeting. The military track would likely only involve some of the countries in the coalition, and for many members it may be focused on helping police the strait and clearing mines after the fighting had stopped, they said. One of the biggest implications of this war is how badly Europe miscalculated. On Iran, they had real chance to help make diplomacy succeed. Instead, they aligned with and enabled Trump’s worst instincts. Now they face a cascading crisis: severe economic shock, a fraying NATO, weakened support for Ukraine, and the erosion of the very security architecture they built over decades. Such strategic malpractice by the European policy class.

BREAKING: At tonight’s NYC-DSA electoral forum, @AOC committed to voting against “any spending on arms for Israel, including so-called defensive capabilities.”
Peter Sterne@petersterne

Tonight (right now actually) @nycDSA is holding a virtual candidate forum with AOC as they consider whether to endorse her for reelection. The endorsement itself hardly matters – AOC will obviously win reelection – but it’s significant as DSA and AOC prep for a potential presidential run in 2028. I’ll be continuing to report on the forum and DSA’s relationship with AOC. Feel free to DM me or message me on Signal if you want to chat anonymously.

You take land and expel its inhabitants Eventually the children of the displaced people attack you So you take the land they are in and expel them again So their grandchildren attack So you take that and expel them too This is defined as “a democracy attacked by terrorists”

Twitter has totally caught some people by surprise with the auto translate function haven’t they? Clearly some of these tweets were not meant for everyone to understand seamlessly haha having to “hit translate” was a disturbing shield sometimes

Thread on how the government is turning South Lebanon into "nobody's land": Terra nullius or “nobody's land” was the legal doctrine through which European colonial powers declared inhabited territories available for appropriation, and which Israel used to justify its colonisation of Palestine. The land was declared nobody's not because nobody lived there but because the people living there were deemed not to count and otherwise invisible. This is precisely what Israel is attempting today in South Lebanon and the Lebanese government is not merely failing to prevent this process, but is actively co-producing the conditions that make it possible. 1/5

Israel just dropped bombs on another ambulance today in Tyre, South Lebanon. An ambulance. People trying to save lives. The world is normalizing attacks on medical workers doing their jobs. This is a war crime. And a crime against humanity.
