20 जनवरी 1995 की सुबह 11.30 बजे।दिल्ली के दरियागंज का सीमेंट व्यापारी सीताराम। इनका 13 वर्षीय पुत्र संदीप बंसल स्कूल जाने के लिए घर से निकला। शाम 7.30 बजे तक भी घर नहीं लौटा।
अगले दिन पिता पर कॉल आई...संदीप हमारे कब्जे में है, जिंदा चाहते हो तो 30 हजार रुपए लेकर लोनी फ्लाईओवर पर बागपत जाने वाले वाली AC बस में रख देना।
पुलिस जांच में पता चला कि यह बच्चा आखिर बार स्कूल के मार्शल आर्ट ट्रेनर सलीम खान के साथ रिक्शे में जाता दिखा था। पुलिस ने सलीम को उठाया, पूछताछ हुई तो उसने नाले में पड़ी हुई संदीप की लाश बरामद करा दी।
5 अगस्त 1997 को दिल्ली की कड़कड़डूमा कोर्ट ने सलीम खान और सहाभियुक्त अनिल को उम्रकैद की सजा सुना दी। 24 नवंबर 2000 को सलीम खान को अंतरिम बेल मिली। इसके बाद वो कभी कोर्ट में पेश नहीं हुआ और भाग गया।
फरारी के दौरान सबसे पहले सलीम ने करनाल और अंबाला में अलमारी बनाने का काम किया। 2010 में गाजियाबाद आ गया। सलीम खान से नई पहचान सलीम वास्तिक बन गई। यहां रेडीमेड गारमेंट्स की दुकान खोली। फिर कुछ टाइम बाद यूट्यूबर बन गया।
आज दिल्ली पुलिस ने सलीम वास्तिक उर्फ सलीम खान को तिहाड़ जेल में भेज दिया है।

→ marriage usually involves legal papers, IDs , witnesses were none of these checked? when she married him how did she not know his real name and identity?
→ after marriage how could a man who is not muslim and whose identity was supposedly unknown live together with a muslim woman for years without namaz, roza or even basic knowledge about Islam being noticed?
→ why was the complaint filed only after he left her and their 4 month old child?
→ family, documents, relatives, neighbors , friends.. did none of these reveal anything for years?
→ if there were signs of deception earlier, why was no complaint made at that time?
